The Present is the twenty-fourth video in the LG15: The Last video series.

Transcript

(An Order member is sitting at the monitors in the Order control room whilst another looks on. A woman enters the control room and the Order member in front of the computer screens quickly gets up and puts a CD he is holding into an envelope. He offers her the chair.)

Woman Order Member: I need them.

Order Member 1: It's not long now before they will be brought in.

Order Member 2: The preparation of the ceremony is almost complete.

(Order member 1 hands the envelope to the other Order member and he runs out of the room. Cuts to scene of the group at the dining table celebrating Leigh's birthday. Chas is bringing out a birthday cake.)

Chas: Here I go look..whooo.

(The group cheers and clap. Montage of clips of the group hanging out, eating and celebrating Leigh's birthday. Pauses to show Jayde taking meat out of the freezer with Leigh looking on.)

Jayde: Little help...ohh...

(Jayde almost drops the packages.)

Leigh: Ooo steak! Yeah...awwww.

(Jayde walks off with the meat and Leigh disappointingly closes the freezer door. Return to montage of clips of the group hanging out. They sing Happy Birthday to Leigh.)

Chas: Blow out the candles. Make a wish.

Bray: What did you wish for?

Leigh: Trait negative blood.

Chas: Aww now that you've told us it won't come true.

Bray: Go on cut the cake. Remember if it touches the bottom you got to kiss the closest boy.

Jayde: (muttering) Sure you would like that wouldn't you?

Chas: Nice one Bray.

Mitch: (jokingly) You're such a loser.

Jayde: You like that?

Leigh: Yeah...

(Whole group laughs. More clips of the group hanging out. Cut to Antonia washing dishes. Bray's hand can be seen touching her shoulder. She smiles at him. Jayde angrily approaches Antonia.)

Jayde: Can I talk to you?

Antonia: Uh...yeah sure.

(Jayde leads Antonia into the hallway.)

Jayde: We never got a chance to talk about what happened the other day.

Antonia: Jayde, I'm really sorry I didn't mean to upset you.

Jayde: Well you did. I thought we were friends.

Antonia: We are.

(Leigh walks into the hallway then slowly tip toes away.)

Jayde: Not after that I don't think so.

Antonia: He kissed me.

Jayde: That's not what he told me.

Antonia: He told you that?

Jayde: He tells me everything. He's just using you.

Antonia: He...He wouldn't do that.

Jayde: Yeah, well you knew I liked him.

Antonia: Jayde, no I didn't. If I swear, swear if I knew...

Jayde: Yeah, whatever. You know what, why don't we just let him decide. You know he's going to choose me so why don't you just back off.

(Jayde shoves Antonia into the wall and storms off. Change to Leigh and Chas sitting outside. Chas is drinking and poking Leigh with her beer bottle playfully.)

Leigh: Chas, I'm so sorry.

Chas: Don't worry. Its your birthday, have fun. Relax.

Leigh: Thanks.

(Chas gets up to go inside and stumbles into the glass slide door. She walks off in the other direction.)

Leigh: Mitch, look after Chas. I've seen how you are with Toni.

(Leigh goes back inside the house and Mitch turns the camera in the other direction to see Jayde walk past.)

Mitch: Where's she going?

(Camera change to the front door. A person wearing black with sunglasses can be seen through the glass panes on the door. They slide an envelope under the door. Leigh sees it and picks it up. The envelope has her name on it. She opens it and inside is a CD with the words "Happy Birthday Leigh" written on.)
