Headline text

Rather than a unique page for each tag, most of which are pretty clearly descriptors of her videos, couldn't we have the tags all direct back to one page that says these are tags of no particular significance, and then break out into new pages if we need them? Or could we just leave meaningless tags without links?--JayHenry 17:25, 9 October 2006 (PDT)

My wiki experience is somewhat limited, so I wasn't sure what the best approach was. I think those pages should all exist so as to keep them off of the list, but perhaps they should redirect to a list of all tags used?--Brucker 17:30, 9 October 2006 (PDT)
as long as they direct somewhere they'll disappear from that list. The list is only for broken links -- I think the new YouTube tags page you set up is good. But I don't know, I'm not an admin or anything. Let's ask Dharmabum--JayHenry 17:40, 9 October 2006 (PDT)

Promotion

Hey, it looks like you're an admin now. Congrats on the promotion!--JayHenry 08:52, 25 October 2006 (PDT)

Actually, I think I might be confused. It looks like the LGPedia is entirely without admins. Oh well.--JayHenry 10:23, 25 October 2006 (PDT)

I'm not sure what's going on with this Yousef stuff. I'm not sure we should delete references to what appears to be his firing.--JayHenry 10:17, 9 November 2006 (PST)

Currently, I'm worried about 85.195.123.22 who is making a large number of edits that may or may not be vandalism... Oh wait, I see, it's all related --Brucker 10:31, 9 November 2006 (PST)

He looks like an angry fan. I saw that he redirected links that say "sucks" to Miles Beckett. Funny, but not appropriate. But it seems to me that the information on Yousef's firing deserves a place in the LGPedia. And the fan anger deserves note too, I think. I'm angry myself, so maybe I'm not seeing this completely clearly, but I saw a poll on the phorum that showed fans overwhelmingly angry about the firing.--JayHenry 10:34, 9 November 2006 (PST)

Well, if it's true, I'm angry as well, but I'm finding it hard to imagine how they could do it. This doesn't seem like the sort of project where they could just pull in another actor to take over. --Brucker 10:49, 9 November 2006 (PST)

Pix template

I know that you like to reduce down the picture size when you do template. I know you do an extreme amount of hard work to get that stuff correct. I do however one request. If and when you resize images in the locations pages please bear in mind that the detail in the pix often contain a lot of useful information. Thats why I have uploaded fairly large images. That said its you thats doing all the work so I will leave it up to your discretion. I just wanted to make sure we are both on the same page as to why the location pixs are they ie to show critical details of the scene which included: location, hair and make up, wardrobe, and props (as specified on the main locations page). As long as the final product show all those clearly when present, I will be a happy camper.--modelmotion 18:47, 22 November 2006 (CST)

Location Template

Thanks for the clean up on the template!! That helped a lot. I would still like to have the actual locations build into the the actual template portion so that i dont need to add them manually to each page when a new location is added. One of these days I will figure out how to do that:)--modelmotion 14:30, 27 November 2006 (CST)

Hiking trail

Hiking trail was intended to be a disambig page but for some reason it shows up as orphaned--modelmotion 12:01, 28 November 2006 (CST)

Nice characters template

Hi Brucker... I've been away for awhile, just getting back into things and working on some much needed improvements and clean-up. Wanted to say that the new characters template is a nice improvement.--JayHenry 15:03, 28 November 2006 (CST)

tag page

I completely agree. What happened was I was trying to fix links to disambiguation pages. Some vids have the tag "lonelygirl15", which links to the lonelygirl15 disambig page. I changed it to link to Lonelygirl15 (tag), which redirects to the Category page for YouTube tags. Should I leave that as is and just not include lonelygirl15 (tag) on the disambig page? Another option would be to link those tags directly to lonelygirl15 (character). Whatever we do, I just want it to be consistent and hopefully not link to a disambig page. Thoughts or suggestions? Thx. OwenIsCool 16:15, 30 November 2006 (CST)

My feeling is that in the case of the lonelygirl15 tags on the videos, there actually is ambiguity there. Furthermore, the tag is on virtually every video, and cleanup of any sort would be huge undertaking that is largely unneeded. I think the tags should only be redirected in cases where they refer clearly to something that we already have a page for, like a few cases of the tag "helper" being redirected to the Lucy page. In general, there ought not be any page that has a name ending in "(tag)", just for style purposes. I think the non-unusual tags are largely unimportant, and don't warrant a page of their own. --Brucker 17:36, 30 November 2006 (CST)
