D-C-cubed was Taylor's mom's first new boyfriend after she divorced from Taylor's dad. He was 21 years old and attended Dallas County Community College (hence his nickname of D-C-cubed). Taylor said he was not particularly smart or attractive. She believed her mother was only dating him to get back at her father for dating a 19 year old girl. She also believed the relationship was wildly inappropriate and wished her mother would "grow up".
