Bree: Hi guys...umm, I was thinking about my last video and I thought that it was kind of drab and I watched it again, you know, hmm, whatever, so I have my fabulous boa (music: Victor - Son Soo (Treatment)) which you might have seen. I always have it around my bedroom, oohh, tickles... Umm I can't believe I didn't bring out the purple monkey puppet. (confidentially) She doesn't like to know that she's a puppet, ssssh. Purple Monkey's been around for awhile. She basically just helps me out (repeated) helps me out. You know she helps me out with, umm, sad times, (still picture of a baby crying accompanied with the audio of a baby crying) helps me out with anything that basically Daniel can't help with. He's a dork... and so am I.

(sped up with audio)

Bree (as Purple Monkey): My name is Purple Puppet.

Bree: right… and where are you from?

Bree (as Purple Monkey): Well, I’m from Texas, where else?

(normal speed)

Bree: It's a purple monkey; I think it speaks for itself, hmmm. Well, I hope you enjoy Purple Monkey, she enjoyed you, right?

Bree (as Purple Monkey): Well, I certainly did.

Bree: See? Bye.

Notes

• This was the first blog where Purple Monkey is named.
• In early videos, Bree and Daniel often bantered with their fans via the comments section of YouTube. Some notable exchanges:
  • Daniel leaves several comments on this video. Bree strongly denies that they are anything more than friends. She says she'll soon trick Daniel into being in one of her videos.
  • Daniel says he uses Adobe Premier 6.5 to edit Bree's videos and that he is teaching her how to use it. He says Bree's camera is a Logitech Orbit MP.
  • There is much talk about Purple Monkey's gender. Bree is quite confident that P. Monkey is female. Eventually, she forgets.
  • Bree mentions Owen by name, to a commenter who notices a turtle.
  • Bree says that her parents' beliefs are the reason she's homeschooled, but does not elaborate.
  • Several fans comment on Bree's unusual eyebrows.
