The chat room operates using an Adobe Flash based web page from Userplane, a company that was recently purchased by America Online (a Time Warner Inc. subsiduary}. At this time the producers of Lonelygirl15 don't benefit financially form this arrangement. Sources such as myspace,friendster, date.com, Honda, and Red Bull use userplane chat services.
