Toby was one of the party guests from the party that Jonas, Daniel, and Alex went to at Rebecca's house. Toby is Jonas's cousin, though they hadn't seen each other since "the funeral" (presumably of Jonas's parents). He is friends with Beth, the reporter. After the party, he begins dating Carla. The two of them appear in Speak to Me!, visiting Jonas to help him through the aftermath of Bree's death. He is very content to leave Jonas alone and let him grieve, but does become worried when Jonas disappears.
