Elizabeth Tulloch (known professionally as Bitsie Tulloch) is the actress who played Alex, Jonas's aunt.
Though American, Bitsie grew up in many countries including Spain, Uruguay, and Argentina. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard in 2003 with a double-major in English & American Literature, and Visual & Environmental Studies. During the summer before her senior year, Bitsie won the Emmy's Internship through the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS). Later that year, her senior year photography thesis, "Turning Twenty," opened at the Carpenter Center Gallery in Boston.
After graduating, Bitsie quickly collected several film credits, including roles in the movies Sent, Life is Short, and Two Doors. Bitsie was also featured in the Star Wars mockumentary R2-D2: Beneath the Dome as R2-D2's "girlfriend". Additionally, she also appeared on the television shows "Cold Case" and "The West Wing."
Bitsie has had great success acting in online serials, as well. Her first role online was as lonelygirl15's Aunt Alex, which she played from March to July 2007 in a total of 15 webisodes. Afterwards, she got cast as Dylan Krieger in another online show, Quarterlife. This show aired on MySpace and posted new episodes every Sunday and Thursday. In November 2007, NBC announced that it had acquired the rights to air Quarterlife on broadcast television. However, the show was canceled after just one episode. It then moved to Bravo. [1]
Aside from Quarterlife, which she continues to do, Bitsie is currently filming the movie Tyranny. She also has two movies that are in post-production: Vacuuming the Cat and Lakeview Terrace.
