(Jonas is outside as the sun appears to be setting.)

Jonas: Emma is safe. She's with my family--her family, actually.

(swats insect away.)

After six years of thinking that they were dead, I still wake up and I have to remind myself they're okay; that my parents are alive and well. Thing is, they're not mine anymore. I get it. They don't want me around, and why would they?

After what I did to their daughter. I mean, Claire and this rogue Elder,

(clip of Join Me! shown in which Claire is on a T.V. screen. Then shows Claire with a white background. Next, clip of I'm Done is shown in which Jonas is crying on a bed)

They-they completely played me, and I couldn't see it. I couldn't see it! Because after what happened to Bree, I was just lost. And I'm not saying this because I want you to feel sorry for me. I was stupid. I was wrong. And they saw that, and they just...

(Clip of We Reach Out in which random images of Bree and war? is shown. Audio heard is "innocent girls die.")

(over voice of Remember Them? saying "They do not recognize you...")

(continuation of voice over, now showing clip saying, " ...And yet, we know you recognize them..." and also, "Noi stim ca tu sti acesti oameni." Scene changes in where Jonas is sitting in front of a mountain range in a desert in front of some cactus.)

And all they had to do was point me in the direction of my parents, and I barely even questioned it. I just gave them Emma, and she...she was almost killed.

(Clip of What Happened? in which Claire is holding a gun to Emma's head. Emma is screaming, "What are you doing?")

Emma's just one. She's just one of how many? Hmm?

(Clip of We All Make Mistakes, in which Sonia is on a couch telling TAAG, "These girls are special. 'The future of the eternal hymn.' That's what they call them.")

And how many other girls are out there? We know there's a baby. Well, the Order's eventually gonna go after her. What am I gonna do about that? What am I gonna do? I can't protect them all. I couldn't protect Bree. I sure couldn't protect Emma. In fact, I almost got her killed. This is like some sick game of cat and mouse. Let me show you.

(Jonas holds up a stick. Jonas walks over to a section of the dirt floor. He draws a cat.)

See that? Cat. He's laughing at me; he's smiling; he's laughing at me; while I continually and stupidly believe that I can outrun him. Well, guess what? Changing the rules of the game. All right, cat? (A silhouetted Jonas is momentarily shown.) This is the mouse that's gonna take you down?

(Jonas scratches out the cat drawing. A small clip of a silhouetted Jonas is shown.)

Watch out. Start looking over your shoulder. I'm coming for you.

• It is assumed that when Jonas says he is changing the rules, he intends to take down the order directly, instead of just saving Trait Positive girls.
