Transcript

Voice: The fountain of youth is real, and it's in the blood of dozens of girls across the world. Their secret is known by few, yet desired by all. They are pawns in the most dangerous of games. We are the Resistance. Our mission is to find these girls, and protect them from those who want to use them, and destroy them. And we document what happens to them, so that their stories live on. This is the story of one of those girls. We are the Resistance. We will not be stopped.

(Static effect to a picture of the LG15: The Resistance logo. Static effect to Maggie reclining on her bed in her room at Old LifesBlood Labs.)

Maggie: (in narration) She had awaited this moment for what seemed an eternity. The plan was whole, and the day proper for its execution.

(An orderly comes into Maggie's room with a wheelchair.)

Orderly: Get up.

Maggie: (in narration) A stillness had enveloped the dungeon, and the princess was certain she would feel nothing. But this was not so.

(The orderly helps Maggie into her wheelchair and leads her out of her room into the hallway.)

Maggie: (in narration) For all of the preparedness, there was an emotion she had not anticipated. A feeling she had forgotten. Excitement. The princess knew she would soon escape to a different place, one where a new journey would unfold.

(Static effect to We Are The Resistance. In the bottom right hand corner, text says "Monday November 10, 2008 Maggie". Static effect to a testing room at Old LifesBlood Labs. A few nurses as well as the orderly is walking around. Maggie is brought in.)

Nurse: How are you feeling today, Maggie?

(The orderly clumsily throws Maggie onto the floor. A crash is heard. While on the ground, Maggie seizes an injection needle with lidocaine inside of it. The orderly picks Maggie up and puts her onto the testing bed. The nurse puts a pulse rate tester on Maggie's finger, while Maggie hides the lidocaine under her clothes. The nurse shines a light into Maggie's eyes, beginning to do general medical tests.)

Maggie: (in narration) She now had the first element.

(Maggie looks at the nurse.)

Maggie: Better.

Nurse: I'm sorry?

Maggie: I'm feeling better today.

Maggie: (in narration) But she knew the second, and final, piece of the plan, would be much more difficult to obtain.

(Static effect to POW!. In the bottom right hand corner, text says "Wednesday November 12, 2008 ReedABook". Static effect to Maggie lying on the testing bed at Old LifesBlood Labs. The only nurse looking at her turns around around and walks away. Maggie takes out the lidocaine, injects some of it into her wrist, and hides it again as the nurse comes back.)

Maggie: (in narration) The princess fought to maintain her facade. She knew she had to appear helpless, or worse, uncaring. This is what they had expected of her, and what she would use against them.

(As the nurse turns around again, Maggie takes out the lidocaine once more and finishes injecting it into her wrist. Having hidden the needle again, Maggie begins to have a seizure.)

Nurse (1): Oh my God! (Holds Maggie down.)

Nurse (2): What's happening?

Nurse (1): She's seizing! Get Dr. Madison. Now!

(Static effect to Meet N Greet. In the bottom right hand corner, text says "Thursday November 13, 2008 ReedABook". Static effect to Back Up or Back Off. In the bottom right hand corner, text says "Thursday November 13, 2008 Sarah". Static effect to Maggie seizing. Dr. Madison rushes to the bedside.)

Dr. Madison: What's happening?

Nurse: She injected herself with lidocaine and started seizing immediately.

Maggie: (in narration) Now there was only one thing left for the princess to do.

Dr. Madison: Vitals?

Maggie: (in narration) Succumb.

Nurse: O2 is 88% falling and her pulse is 82.

Maggie: (in narration) She was not afraid.

Dr. Madison: Where's the Ativan?

Maggie: (in narration) She has lost such fears long ago.

Nurse: Let's try and hold her still!

Maggie: (in narration) They had forced that upon her.

Nurse: She's all over the place!

Maggie: (in narration) This was her only escape.

Nurse: I can't hold her still enough! You got that?

Maggie: (in narration) The only option that had been left to her.

Dr. Madison: Can you try and hold her still?

Nurse: Fuck!

Dr. Madison: One more milligram please.

(Maggie stops seizing and falls limp)

Nurse: She's coding!

Dr. Madison: Get the crash cart in here. Get her ready. (The Nurse starts taking off Maggie's hospital gown.) Give me 300. Charge. (Places the paddles on Maggie.) Clear.

Nurse: Nothing. Charge it again.

Dr. Madison: Charge. Clear.

Nurse: Again.

(Zoom in on Maggie's vitals. There is no pulse. Static effect to a sped up version of Boston Blitz (Recap), then Left Coast Ahoy at normal speed. In the bottom right hand corner, text says "Friday November 14, 2008 Sarah". Static effect to Dr. Madison using the paddles on Maggie.)

Maggie: (in narration) For what seemed an eternity, the princess has longed for home, and in only a moment's time, she would arrive.

(Closeup of Maggie's vitals all reading zero. Static effect to a picture of the LG15: The Resistance logo, and below it, the text "www.LG15.com".)

Notes

  • On imeem, the video was called New England Bound!.
  • Lidocaine (combined with small amounts of epinephrine) is commonly used as an anesethetic for minor surgery and only extremely high doses can cause adverse effects, eitherway Maggie's reaction is not characteristic of an overdosage.
