Transcript
(Bree is sitting in her chair facing the camera, Daniel is in the background lying on the bed reading)
Bree: (yawns and stretches) Welcome to another installment of (in a silly voice) "Proving Science Wrong"! (Bree sticks out her tongue) Today we're gonna dispel the commonly-held but extremely silly notion that modern man descended from tribes of hunter-gatherers. Here at "Proving Science Wrong" we're all about asking the tough questions, so as you watch these events unfold, ask yourself: how good of a caveman would you have been? (cut to Bree and Daniel sitting on the floor with three bowl filled with food items and a number of rocks; Bree is wearing her safari hat) Here we have a pretty attractive dinner to a Neanderthal. We have our fresh fish from a mountain stream (Bree holds up one of the fish and stares at it, Daniel grimaces and Bree tosses it back in the bowl) and we have some nuts begging to be mashed into a delicious hunter-gatherer breakfast cereal, (Bree lifts the bowl of nuts to her mouth, lowers it, and makes a disgusted face) and we have bananas, (whispering) because that's all they had at the supermarket. Now we're gonna see if we can prepare this meal using only the tools that Neanderthals would have had.
(fast forward musical montage in which Bree mashes the nuts with a rock and Daniel pokes, jabs and saws at the fish the fish with various other rocks)
Bree: (back in her seat, Daniel still sits on the floor with the fish) So far, Daniel would make a lousy caveman. He hasn't even really cut the fish. (Bree glances back at Daniel, and looks back at the camera with a disgusted look) He just kind of mashed it up.
Daniel: Bree, this is disgusting...
Bree: (to Daniel) Shhh!! (to camera) Caveman didn't have the tool of language. (Daniel gives Bree an incredulous look)
(fast forward musical montage in which they continue to work on the "food" with the rocks and laugh at each other)
Bree: (holding up bowlful of mashed fish with a concerned look) I think judging from these fish, Daniel wouldn't have made it as a caveman, (Bree holds up the bowl of mashed nuts) but I could've! That's all we have today for (silly voice) "Proving Science Wrong".
