The Elders, also known as The Order of Denderah (A Solid Lead, April 26th, 2007) are the leaders of the Order, first mentioned by Bree in I Completed The Ceremony (Oct. 13, 2006). They are the utmost figures of authority, and in the Hymn of One, it is an honor just to be in their presence.
Elders have aggressive, inhumane bodyguards called Shadows, who cannot leave their sides unless permission is given.
For the Ceremony, Bree's blood was transfused into an Elder, thus extending the life-giving qualities of Bree's blood into the Elder.
In KateModern, one of Kate's favorite artists, Michelle Clore is an Elder.
After Bree's death, a rogue Elder went after Jonas's sister, who was trait positive, Emma. With the help of Claire, a Shadow, Emma was kidnapped and help in Pleasant Manor. The Elder stated that his organs were about 90 years old, despite his appearance. He was later killed by Claire.
