(Charlie is at work, chatting with Gavin on Windows Messenger and sending text messages to Kate.)
Charlie: There's still been no sign of Kate. I tried to get into a Hymn of One meeting yesterday with Steve, but they locked me out. It went on all night - I had to go home. (walking down the street) I just came out of work and this car keeps stopping. I'm sure they're following me, I've seen this car before. (car pulls up to show Dudley and Dr. Griffin) Will you go away??
Dr. Griffin: I've got information about Kate.
Charlie: Kate??
Dudley: So what now?
Dr. Griffin: Just drive so we can talk... Charlie, you remember the artist that Kate spoke with just before she got into the black van?
Charlie: Well, yeah, Michelle the Clore? What the hell did she say to Kate? Did she tell her to go with the Hymn of One?
Dr. Griffin: Not the Hymn of One exactly.
Charlie: What do you mean "not exactly"?
Dr. Griffin: I believe that Kate is with Michelle Clore.
Charlie: What? Where does she live then? We have to go there now!
Dudley: You can't just look Michelle Clore up in the phone book. We think she's part of the Order. We think she's an Elder.
Charlie: She's a what??
Dr. Griffin: She's an Elder of the Order, Charlie. Infinitely more dangerous than the Hymn of One.
Charlie: What?!?
Dr. Griffin: We believe that Kate's trait positive blood would give Michelle Clore extra life. Consequently Kate would die. (Charlie drops camera) But there's still time. It probably isn't too late.
Charlie: What do you mean probably?
Dr. Griffin: Ceremony girls take a long time to be conditioned. They're given a special diet of minerals and brainwashing before they can undergo the ceremony. So, if we can find Kate soon, then we may still be in time to save her.
Charlie: This is crazy. How do you know that Michelle Clore is an Elder?
Dr. Griffin: Just look closely at her work, Charlie.
(Cut to Charlie at home, putting her nose up to Michelle Clore's circle picture.)
Charlie: Can any of you work these out? I can't see anything in here, can you? Kate if you're out there, please come back.
Notes
- Charlie posted the circle picture to her bebo photo album. The picture is an autostereogram of the Hymn of One symbol. From a certain angle, another layer of the image can be seen with two dots side by side and three curved lines at the bottom. A third layer of the image has been seen by some viewers.
- This video raises questions about whether or not there really is a "rogue Elder."
