Gavin: Steve, all joking aside, ... we really appreciate this. Given what's happened and all that, you know - it's very big of you and uh ... and you've said so, haven't you?
Tariq: I have. Thanks.
Steve: No problem. No problem, guys. Shall I? (indicates camera) I've spoken with Gavin and he's persuaded me that pressing charges against Kate for what she did to me isn't the right thing to do right now. (smiling) Cool?
Gavin and Tariq: Cheers mate. Thank you.
Gavin: Yeah, it all got a bit ... for a while.. Cause when I went to that meeting... yeah... I mean, I didn't understand a lot of it.
Steve: (interrupting )To be honest Gavin you're not going to understand it on just one meeting. You can't understand the Hymn of One on your first attempt. It takes time, you need vision, you need to really get through all that. (turns to camera, becomes more agitated) Finding out your trait positive isn't something you can come to terms with over-night. Kate, look, I really want to help you. After all that's happened, whatever that's gone on between us. I want to help. I want to find out who's done this. Who kidnapped you. Where your memories have gone. Kate you don't realize how being trait positive is incredibly important!
(Gavin gets up and walks off. Tariq takes camera and follows him.)
Tariq: Gavin? Gavin! What's the matter mate?
Gavin: I can't do this anymore, man. I can't do this anymore. What are we doing with ourselves? We're meant to be making a go at this business. Not making peace between your mental bird and her creepy friends.
Tariq: Gav, this is really important to me.
Gavin: What about our business? How important is that to you? Because all of our time seems to be spent on her and her dramas. We quit our jobs. We had an idea that was worth quitting our jobs for! And what have we done about it? Nothing! How do you know somebody else hasn't already developed it and beaten us to it. Eh?
Tariq: This isn't fair Gav, mate. Kate hasn't been well.
Gavin: Not well? She's completely barking! I borrowed a lot of money from someone who is not going to be interested in late repayments.
Tariq: Oh, great, here we go...
Gavin: Yeah, I made a mistake, all right? I made a mistake, but you've had your head too far up Kate's arse to even notice.
Tariq: Ah, mate! You had no right to sell us out like this. Yeah? And who are these people?
Gavin: It doesn't matter. (pushes camera away)
Gavin: I mean it. No more Kate bullshit. We got that creep to back off and that's more than enough. Okay? All right? Tariq?
Tariq: Specialist research.
Gavin: Have you not listened to a word I've just said? Not one word! So what you're saying is that you want me to risk my neck for Her Ladyship again.
Tariq: It's the last thing I'll ask for. I won't ask for anything else, I promise.
Gavin: You know - sometimes I wonder who is crazier - you or her?
Tariq: Please Gavin.
Gavin: All right - but I'll do it for you but not for her. And this is the last time. And I'm only doing this because I want this - all of this - to be over. (pushes Tariq away) No, get off me. Let's just go and get this over with. Turn that off.
