(A shot of the sidewalk is seen as Gavin opens a beer. He raises the camera and takes a drink.)
Gavin: Okay. Okay, so I didn't- I didn't exactly make it home. (Looks around nervously.) Yeah. (Takes another swig of his beer.) I know. I know. I know what's going on. (Nods.) Yeah. Some things... they don't add up. Yeah? Well, I'm on to you. You. Out there; watching us dance like chimps. I know you're out there. (A pigeon flys behind Gavin.) Yeah.
(Gavin starts to get up but stops to talk to the camera.)
Dead! Dead? Yeah? She's making all of this; out there, in the shadows. You're not dead. Kate is not dead. And I'm gonna prove it to you. Or my name isn't Thelonious T. Deep-
