This page is intended to promote discussion of the music used in Lonelygirl15.

For a listing of all the musical pieces featured in the series, ordered by blog and including external links to downloads and band profiles, see LG15 Soundtrack.

Music plays a very special role it any film production. It is critical in setting the mood and conveying the story line. The page is intended to provide information about the music featured in the series and the artists it comes from, as well as to promote discussion of the music used in the videos of Lonelygirl15. The music used to date includes:

Featured artists

Beat Gorilla

Beat Gorilla is a producer whose work has been featured in the videos My Parents... Let Us Go Hiking!!! and Mysteries of My Past... REVEALED!. He is also known as Pat Chilla the Beat Gorilla.

David Baerwald

David Baerwald is a musician whose song "Hooray For Love" was featured in Bree's video My First Kiss.

Five Star Fall

Five Star Fall is a band whose song "Mercurial Girl" was featured in Bree's video I'm Going to the Party! and "Between 2 Floors" was featured in Daniel Crossed The Line.

Gnarls Barkley

Gnarls Barkley is a duo whose song "Crazy" was featured in Bree's first video. The clip of Bree making silly faces to the song "Crazy" was used to introduce lonelygirl15 when Jessica Lee Rose appeared on Jay Leno. The video which used Gnarls Barkley's song has not been uploaded to Revver, possibly due to copyright infringement.

Harlan T Bobo

Harlan T Bobo is a band whose song "Zipper and Jeans" was featured in Bree's video Daniel Returns, and More Interesting Factoids (Yay!) and whose "Kissy Face" was featured in The Equinox.

Jude

Jude is Los-Angeles-based musician whose song "All I Want to Do" was featured in Bree's video In The Park. The song is from his new album, Redemption. It is also available on iTunes as the B-side for the single "Save Me," a song that was featured in the O.C. Season 3 premiere.

Jude is best known for his songs "I'm Sorry Now", "Rick James" and "I Know", from his 1998 album NoOne is Really Beautiful, and his independant release "Sarah" was released in 2004 to glowing reviews.

Julius Fučík

Julius Fučík is the composer of "Entrance of the Gladiators", the circus-themed music heard in My Helper.

Lemon Demon

Lemon Demon is a one man band whose song "Don't Be Like The Sun" is featured in Bree's video What's A Date?

MAUF

MAUF is an Austrian-based a cappella beatboxing group that submitted their song "The Truth" to Bree. She used the song in the video Proving Science Wrong... with Lonelybeast and Danielgirl15.

Nelly

Nelly is a popular rapper whose song "Grillz" was used in Bree's video Grillz feat. Danielbeast, LG15, P. Monkey, and O'n.. Bree did not use the entire song, but rather the first two verses by Nelly and rapper Paul Wall. The video that uses this song has not been uploaded to Revver, presumably due to copyright infringement.

Nelly Furtado

Nelly Furtado is a singer whose song "Promiscuous" was used in the video My Lazy Eye (and P. Monkey gets Funky!) The use of the song as P.Monkey's dance track, suggests that P.Monkey is not keeping her purity bond. The video has not been uploaded to Revver presumably for copyright reasons.

New Professionals

New Professionals are a band whose song "Nothin' Pretty" was featured in Bree's video Bree The Cookie Monster.

Pitx

Pitx is a band whose song "Good Morning" was used in the video He Said, She Said. The song does not pose any copyright problems because it is distributed through ccmixter.org.

Scott Bomar

Scott Bomar is a musician whose song "Shug's Theme" is featured in Bree's video Learning To Drive.

SPY

SPY is a band whose song "Leave Me Alone" was featured in the Revver version of Daniel The Neanderthal. The original YouTube version of the video featured a different song, which was probably changed for copyright reasons.

Something For Rockets

Something For Rockets is a band whose song "All OK" was featured in Bree's video A Peace Offering (and P. Monkey Boogies).

Starlight Mints

Starlight Mints is a band whose song "The Bandit" was featured in Bree's video The Tolstoy Principle (and Dad "talks" to Daniel). The YouTube version of the video featured a different song. It was presumably replaced with this song for copyright reasons.

The Jane Doe's

The Jane Doe's are an independent pop/soul band whose song Junkie was featured in the Swimming! video of the Lonelygirl15 video series.

Sleuths later discovered that a few days before the Swimming video, The Jane Doe's posted a message of thanks on the MySpace account of Creative Artists Agency employee Amanda Goodfried. This fueled speculation that lonelygirl15 was involved with the CAA.

Tyrone Wells

Tyrone Wells is a musician whose song "Wondering Where You Are" is featured in Bree's video What Makes Us Sad?
