Transcript
(Gavin is in the bathroom, filming himself in the mirror. He sighs several times and sits down to talk to the camera.)
Gavin: Okay, so we're, I don't know, twenty-four, forty, um, seventy-two hours into the tour, and it's not exactly turning out to be the trip of a lifetime. And I don't know what, exactly, I was thinking, but I-I don't know; I was thinking maybe it'd involve minibars and midnight drinking sessions in each other's rooms... A bit of playful massage... A good night for everyone, basically. (Leaves the bathroom.) Or, if we were sharing, um, Julia, the producer, would be doing her job and looking after the talent. Whichever way it worked, I wasn't banking on it ending up like this.
(Turns the camera to show Lee sitting on a bed with a towel on his head wearing pink socks and reading a script.)
Lee: Look, can you just keep it down now, please, Gavin?
Gavin: (Turning the camera back to himself.) I'm so sorry you had to see that.
Lee: Gavin, look, I'm just trying to go through the thoughts for the shoot tomorrow. "Lee", "Leeds." "Lee the l"- "Lee the leader of Leeds", "Lee-" "Lee leads Leeds." "Lee leads Leeds." "Lee-" "Follow the Leader." "Follow the Leader."
Gavin: I can't take this anymore. (Gavin heads toward the door.) I'm getting out of here before I actually do him some damage.
Lee: You have a nightcap, Gav!
(Cut to Gavin walking down the corridor of hotel rooms. He knocks on the door of room 261. Charlie can be heard talking behind the door. She eventually answers it.)
Charlie: Oh, let me guess: room service.
Gavin: L- Can I crash at yours tonight, please?
Charlie: No way. (Laughs.) You've got to be kidding; we're going to bed now. (Closes the door.) Sorry.
Gavin: J-just on the floor! Just on the floor! Please? (Knocks again.) Look, Lee's locked me out; I've got nowhere to stay.
(Charlie opens the door, hands Gavin her car keys, and shuts the door again. Cut to Gavin in the backseat of the Aygo.)
Gavin: Well, it's not exactly top and tails with Charlie, but at least it doesn't smell of Lee. (Sniffs.) No. (Chuckles and gets under his blanket.) Night night. Ah! Belt buckle.
Notes
- Gavin sleeps in the car to escape Lee much like Jonas once slept in the car to escape Bree.
