Mixed Media is a weekly Internet show hosted by Miles Beckett and Greg Goodfried, two of the Creators of LonelyGirl15. Its premise is to "explore the convergence of entertainment and technology." The show is on live every Tuesday from 6-8pm Pacific/9-11pm Eastern. It is available later that evening as a rebroadcast. Chat and photo upload are always available. The rebroadcast stays online until the next show.
Guests can include cast members of LG15 and other video creators, both fan and professional. Guests can be in the studio or call-in. The phone number is (310) 984-7600. Mixed Media is part of the NOWinLA Channel. Mixed Media began in March 2007.
More than a podcast, Mixed Media involves at least one chat room. People in the studio upload photos and audience members in the chat room upload photos. On March 27th, 2007, they experimented with running several chat rooms simultaneously. Greg and Miles took calls and answered questions from the chat rooms while conversing with Jessica Lee Rose, who plays Bree on LonelyGirl15. Greg and Miles answered some of the questions in the chat; others were answered verbally. During the March 27th show, live photographs of Greg, Miles, Jessica, and Jessica's dog Wicket, were uploaded during the first half. In the second half of the show, the audience was invited to upload pictures of French maids for guest Tim Street, creator of French Maid TV. Greg, Miles and Jessica did "shout outs" to people in the chat room.
Many members of the LonelyGirl15 community participate in Mixed Media. If you want to chat, it is recommended that you register beforehand. Registration involves receiving an access code by email, which may take some time. Safari users may need to install WebKit to use the site, according to site Admin johnH of NowLive!
