POW! is the forty-fourth video in the lonelygirl15 video series.
Transcript
Reed: (Reed appears to be in a restroom, and you see a toilet with a cockroach on it.) Obviously I have the best view of Boston ever. So look, I figured, you know, we're at the end of the road, we're in Boston, d-day is still two days away... So we should, you know, relax, explore the city, and see what there is to see... Which, of course, means buy some comics. So I take the gang to the first cool-ass comic book store I can find and... (sighs)
(Cut to shot of Jonas, Maggie, and Sarah standing in comic book store)
Jonas: (loudly) We're not going. It's not safe.
Reed: Guys, we should probably keep our um... (camera turns to guy standing at counter looking confused and annoyed) I'm sorry, I'm sorry dude. (whispers) Keep our voices down.
Jonas: It's not safe, okay, it's stupid. And I'm not gonna go, okay? I'm making a call.
Sarah: Excuses!
Jonas: Do you ever get tired of being an idiot?
Sarah: Do you ever get tired of being such a huge wuss?
Jonas: Why? Why? Because I don't want to fall into some trap?
Sarah: Oh, no, no, no, no. Because you are too busy trying to protect your little trait positive girlfriend.
Jonas: You know what? You need to relax.
Reed: (clears throat) Guys...
Sarah Relax? Relax? We just drove half way across the country because she said so to go to this stupid auction thing and now we can't go because you're too scared!
Jonas: Sc- I never said that I was.
Sarah: (shrugging) You didn't have to.
(cut to Reed in the restroom again)
Reed: I just wanna buy the new issue of Captain America and Usagi Yojimbo, you know?
(cut to Sarah, Jonas, and Maggie still arguing in the comic book store)
Maggie: I don't even know if the cure is real.
Sarah: Yeah, well you told us to come here.
Maggie: Sarah, I didn't think that this was going to happen. I didn't.
Sarah: No. You didn't think anything.
(Maggie and Jonas leave)
(Reed sets the camera down on box full of comic books)
Reed: Hey Sarah, look, I know we're all like really, you know, tense and everything and we've been traveling for a while, but we just gotta relax and calm down, okay? (Reed tries to touch Sarah's arm)
Sarah: Just don't touch me.
Reed: What's going on Sarah? Why are you acting like this?
Sarah: Like what? Like an adult?
Reed: No, like a total bitch.
(Sarah slaps Reed. Reed looks shocked)
Sarah: Fuck you. Why don't you just go and sleep with your little slut again. And you know what? If you guys are all too scared to do this, I'll do it myself.
(Sarah walks away, leaving Reed standing there still looking a little stunned)
Notes
- Reed posted an imeem playlist with the video entitled Baby Come Back.
- Reed claims he's looking for the latest Captain America and Usagi Yojimbo in this comic, however, Captain America was declared dead March 7, 2008 and has not made a comic book appearance since.
- The video title is a reference to the use of words like "POW!" in depicting scenes of fighting in comic books.
