Charlie: This week has been way too crazy. (Sighs.) I've decided that, apart from losing the software, we're going to end up losing Gavin and Tariq's friendship in all this. Look, I'm pretty sure we're not gonna get the software back, but I think we can do something to salvage Gavin and Tariq's friendship.
(The doorbell rings. Charlie smiles and goes to answer it. The scene cuts to Charlie unlocking and opening the door to the flat.)
Charlie: Jules?
(Charlie steps into the hall. The camera pans to the right side of the hall and zooms in and back out again. It then pans to the left and back to the center. Charlie steps back into the flat.)
Charlie: Where's Julia?
(The camera pans down to find a gnome sitting in front of the door, on which it zooms in. The scene cuts to the flat's kitchen, with the gnome sitting on the table, partially obstructing the camera.)
Charlie: (Sighs and slams the door.) Just a second. Right outside the door!
Julia: What is it?
Charlie: No, no, it's yesterday's gnome. Lee, he's given us a second chance.
(Julia walks over and grabs the gnome. She flips it over to read the note on its base. Charlie goes into the kitchen to grab a cup of water.)
Julia: Seven dials. (Walks over to Charlie in the kitchen.)
Charlie: What?
Julia: (Reading the clue.) "There are seven ways to get here, but only shadows can tell the time. Where am I?" The Seven Dials in Covent Garden.
Charlie: Are you sure?
Julia: Yes, I'm sure! And he obviously wants us to go there or he wouldn't have given us this.
Charlie: But Gav's at Aunt Joan's.
Julia: Well, so? Tariq's in Ealing. (Charlie sits down and takes a drink of water.) Look, if we've got any chance of reasoning with Lee, we don't need those two with us anyway.
Charlie: But what about the watcher? What if he's there?
Julia: If Gavin and Tariq are ever going to talk to each other again, we need to get that software back. So let's go. It's twenty minutes away, Charlie.
(Julia runs toward the door. Charlie gets up and puts down her cup of water.)
Julia: Come on!
Charlie: Sure!

Julia: Seven Dials! (Points down the street.) We have to stand here!
Charlie: Crap, be careful! (The camera lowers to show Charlie's feet.) Is he there, can you see?
Julia: I can't see him yet. Charlie! Charlie, look! Look, there he is!

Charlie: All we want is to talk!
Julia: We just want to talk to you, please! Lee, honestly!
(Lee stumbles and falls in a corner on the stairwell.)
Lee: Leave me alone!
Julia: Lee, we're sorry; especially Tariq.
Charlie: What?
Julia: We feel really bad about it. Give us the software and this can all be over.
Lee: (Grinning.) Right. But one more thing first. (Licks his lips.) I want Charlie to give me a kiss for ten seconds, and I want you to film it and post it.
Charlie: Git, really...
Julia: No, you're doin' it.
Charlie: No-no-no... (Inaudible pleading)
Lee: Oh, come on! One little kiss and you can have your software back.
Charlie: Don't be such a dirty perv!
Lee: Oh, come on, you want this to end, don't ya? One little kiss and it's all over.
Julia: Go on.
Charlie: (Turning to Julia.) Wh-why can't you kiss him, please? It's g- you g-
Lee: No, no, no. It's got to be Charlie.
Charlie: Gav's not gonna like this one little bit.
(The camera pans to look down the stairs and then back.)
Lee: Yeah, I know, I know, I know, I know. But he will like getting his software back!
Charlie: Software first.
Lee: Uh, wasn't born yesterday.
Charlie: Neither was I.
Lee: Come on, Charlie, one little kiss, it's all over. I haven't even got any gnomes left!
Charlie: Couldn't we just have hit him over the head with the pole? What if he's-
Lee: (Points to his head.) No, because all my secrets are up here!
Julia: Charlie, do it. (Charlie backs against the wall and shuts her eyes tight.) Go on.
(Lee excitedly kisses Charlie. Julia groans and Lee grins at the camera. He points at the camera while kissing Charlie and makes a fist. He then embraces Charlie, who smacks the wall with her hand.)
Julia: Uh, Charlie it'll be all over.
(The camera pans to look down the stairs and then turns back to Lee, who waves at the camera while still kissing Charlie. Lee stops kissing Charlie and is immediately smacked over the head by the gnome by Terrence. Lee falls to the floor as both of the girls scream.)
Terrence: Oh! I feel better now that I've got that out of my system. (Lee is on the floor, rubbing his head.) You naughty little gnome! (Laughs.) Sorry. (Cut to Charlie looking uncomfortable and back to Terrence.) We haven't been introduced. Uh, my name's Terrence. (Holds out his hand, which Charlie shakes.) I'm the, uh, silent partner.
Julia: We heard!
Terrence: Oh, all good things, I hope.
Charlie: What are you doing here?
Terrence: I followed you. (The camera pans to show Lee, still holding his head on the floor.) I, uh, hope you don't mind.
Charlie: No, what a help.
Terrence: Now, uh, listen, ladies. (Begins to remove his jacket.) Lee and I've got a few things to go over, so why don't you head on home?
Julia: Charlie...
Terrence: Oh, and tell the boys I've got the software and I'll be along later to them what this means to them. Go on. (Moves the camera.)
Julia: Go on.
Charlie: Wh-what about Lee?
Julia: Charlie, move.
(The camera pans back up the stairs to show Terrence rolling up his sleeves.)
Terrence: I, uh, don't think you want to see this. Now go on, get lost. (Julia comes up to Terrence, who smacks the camera away.) I said get lost.
(The girls make their way down the stairs.)
Julia: (Whispering.) Charlie. Charlie! No, over here. Wait.
Terrence: Right.
Julia: Charlie, wait. Wait! We can't just leave him like this, Charlie.
(Charlie stops at the bottom of the stairwell and turns around.)
Charlie: What am I supposed to do? What're we supposed to do?
(Lee cries out.)
Julia: Charlie, go do something!
Terrence: Where's the software, Lee?
Lee: It's in the gnome!
Julia: Shh! Quiet! Quiet!
Terrence: What do you mean "it's in the gnome"?
Lee: It's in the gnome that's behind you!
(Charlie grabs the gnome as Terrence turns around and screams. She and Julia quickly run down the stairs.)
Terrence: Oy, get back here!
Julia: Run! Charlie, run!
(Terrence chases Julia and Charlie down the stairs.)
Terrence: Hey! Give me back the gnome! Oy! I'm gonna kill you, son! Hey!
Julia: Run, Charlie!
Terrence: Hey! Come back! Hey!
(Charlie and Julia make it outside with the gnome. Charlie runs straight into the watcher, who lifts her up by the throat and grabs the gnome.)
Julia: Oy, put her down! (The watcher drops Charlie and takes off.) Charlie!
Terrence: Alright, give me the gnome. Give me the gnome. Oy, I said-
(The watcher punches Terrence in the face and knees him in the stomach. Terrence drops to the ground. The watcher then walks to a nearby car and hops in.)
Julia: OY! (The camera looks at Charlie and Terrence, who are both hurt.) Are you all right? (The camera then watches the watcher's car drive away.) OY! Charlie!
Notes
- The gnome that arrived at Charlie's doorstep contained the message:
- There are seven ways to get here
- But only shadows can tell the time
- Where am I?
- There are seven ways to get here
- Presumably the gnome that was stolen by the watcher in St. Paul's Cathedral: 6pm - 22nd November 2007 carried the same message.
- The software was hidden inside of the final gnome, which suggests that Gavin may have suspected Lee of this all along. (Gavin drunkenly smashed the clue gnome in Waterloo Bridge - 6pm 21st November.)
- Julia and Charlie seem to have a growing friendship.
