Bree in a very convincing disguise.

The sunglasses worn by Lucy and the Watchers may seem silly or reminiscent of They Live, but they seem significant. There is only speculation at this point as to what purpose they serve (if any), but some have suspected, based on the visual style of Communication Terminated, that the sunglasses serve as a video unit.

Other characters have worn sunglasses, such as Purple Monkey, Bree and Nikki Bower. However, it does not appear that these sunglasses are of any relation.

• On The Run - Wearing sunglasses is established as part of the Order's uniform.
• Exploring The Motel - a Watcher is recognized by his sunglasses.
• Investigating Gemma - NBR 7 Nikki wears sunglasses to go undercover.
• Look Who I Found!!! - Lucy is seen wearing sunglasses, and Nikki Bower wears sunglasses to go undercover.
• Oh, The Places You'll Go - Rebecca is seen wearing sunglasses.
• They'll Do Anything - A Deacon and a Watcher are both seen wearing sunglasses.

• Awful Dream - Kate is wearing sunglasses as part of the video interpretation of her nightmare.
• Dr. Weirdo - Dr. Griffin is wearing sunglasses, perhaps to go incognito among the jungle creatures.
• Desperately Seeking Shia - Charlie impersonates "Dr. Weirdo."
• The Gallery - 6pm 22nd September 2007 - Michelle Clore and her body guards (who are, in fact, Watchers) are wearing sunglasses.
• Kate Returns - ...and she looks like Michelle, with sunglasses and trench coat.
