Sorry Jay, but I really disagree with Buka's status as a "character". He purported to be an online fan who had no connection to Bree & Daniel any larger than any of us, except that he gets to run their fan site. Therefore if he's a character in LG, we all are. While he deserves a page, because his ineptness as forum admin led to the Anchor Cove secession and he was in a sense a bridge between the creators and the fans, he was not a part of the story at all. Also he can't be called an unseen character because by my definition (and I think a legitimate one), unseen characters only deserve that title if they've been mentioned in a video. Bukanator was never supposed to be part of the story, and he was never going to be seen on camera because he was not in their world. He was just a fan like all of us and therefore never a part of the story.

I agree. While I do think that this information is interesting to have in LGPedia, I don't think that it necessarily belongs with the Unseen characters, all of whom actually exist within the LG15 universe. Twistofreality 12:02, 1 October 2006 (PDT)
Unless anyone has any serious objections, I'm going to change this article's category to "Cast and crew" and remove the article from the list of characters.Twistofreality 12:04, 1 October 2006 (PDT)

Andriy Bukatar?

I don't see any mention of Andriy Bukatar in this article. Bukatar is an associate of Grant Steinfeld's AgentIdea company (see http://www.agentidea.com/people/index.html). He's a web designer and is likely the real identity of Bukanator. Note that name similarity.

The Children of Anchor Cove board is essentially dead now, with a trivial amount of traffic compared to the LG official board. This article should be updated to match.

Traffic is not the evening standard by which the health of internet communities is measured. The article is fine as it stands.

Separate articles?

I really don't think that Bukanator and Grant Steinfeld need separate articles. I'd propose merging the content from this article into the article on Steinfeld and just having this one redirect. Any objections? - Dharmabum420 13:52, 1 October 2006 (PDT)

I agree, you should have Bukanator re-direct to Steinfeld. If Bukanator actually emerges as another character or is more visible it could be made seperate again VanillaFlava 14:52, 1 October 2006 (PDT)

10/18 edit

I've re-ordered some of the information a little -- revealing that Mr. Steinfeld left the project in July needs to come before the descriptions of how the forum's Bukanator mishandled the board. As it was, even with the caveat, the article still managed to imply that Mr. Steinfeld was responsible for the August neglect when he demonstrably wasn't. Nora 16:49, 18 October 2006 (PDT)

Do we know when Grant left the project for sure? In the initial YT comments announcing the birth of the lonelygirl15.com fansite and forums, on July 16, 2006, bukanator refers to "aishapuppy", which is Grant's dog. I doubt that the rest of the Creators would have included such details. That leads me to believe that Grant left the project shortly after the website was outed as being registered back on May 12, 2006. --Milowent 11:22, 23 October 2006 (PDT)

ownership of "Bukanator" character

Ought we to preserve a distinction between the various actions of the different "Bukanators"? I was trying to do so by using the quotation marks around the character name for all mentions after mid-July, to emphasize that the person using that identity at that point was someone different from the character's primary developer. This was probably not the most graceful way of doing so, but I keep feeling that it's a distinction which is going to become more and more important. 149.2.28.10 05:44, 25 October 2006 (PDT)
