Indeed, that was an awesome video. I didn't realize it didn't already have a page. --Brucker 11:25, 29 December 2006 (CST)

Holy crap!! Are you telling me that this wasn't the actual lonelygirl15 room? this was a REPLICA!!! HOLY CRAP!!! IT'S EXTREMELY WELL DONE!!!!!--Garfwog 16:45, 29 December 2006 (CST)

Does he say "how you done?" I thought he was saying "What have you done?" Maybe i need to go listen again! --JayHenry 11:53, 15 May 2007 (CDT)

Uhhh. He could? I'd always heard it as "how you done" as in.. how you done it, lonelygirl? As in, how the heck did ya fool us all Lonelygirl? Haha, but maybe I'm wrong. I'd love to hear what others heard... --Zoey 12:03, 15 May 2007 (CDT)
if you watch the video you can see his lips move and it becomes clearer that he said "how have you done" (as in how successful have you been), which makes a lot more sense, in the context. -misty 12:22, 15 May 2007 (CDT)
I tried watching and listening with head phones. It really sounds like "What have you done." I'd say I'm 95 percent confident. And saying "how have you done" doesn't make any sense to me. --JayHenry 13:04, 15 May 2007 (CDT)
I've listen to it again, and I'm 100% sure it's "how", not "what". I don't know what it doesn't make sense to you, the song is about exploiting YouTube for personal gain, the question the question being asked is "Ok so you fooled us, and got really popular, how much (fame , career advancement , money ,etc) did you get out of it?". If you say "what have you done?" then it makes not sense. -misty 13:25, 15 May 2007 (CDT)
Hey guys, the lyrics on dee's myspace ( -- click on the "lyrics" link for the lonelygirl song). He says it is "What have you done lonelygirl" --Milowent 13:35, 15 May 2007 (CDT)
Good call Milo! I'll update that. And uh, yeah. I did just watch it again. And I heard the same thing you did Jay, so I'm glad we got that confirmed. So hey, now that it's been cleaned up, how do people feel about me putting it up as featured? --Zoey 13:41, 15 May 2007 (CDT)
I think we should put it up ASAP. Do we know that those lyrics are actaully from DEE, and not some database of transcribed lyrics? -misty 13:46, 15 May 2007 (CDT)
Thanks for the find, Milo. Yeah, that's his MySpace profile, so i think we can trust it. Misty, "What have you done?" is a common expression that means "Why did you do that?" --JayHenry 14:06, 15 May 2007 (CDT)

"Instant hit"

I don't know who wrote the main page summary of Deemontreal in the featured article section, but I have a bone to pick with it. I am a big fan of the song, but the description is misleading: "His video... has become an instant hit! With over 850,000 views, it is the most-watched fan video to date." In fact, the video languished for quite awhile. I thought it was great and was sad it wasn't getting the exposure it deserved. After a couple of months it barely got above 10,000 views or something like that, certainly not qualifying it as an "instant hit" (Terryfic's YouTube Auteur did far better in a far shorter amount of time, mainly because LG15 was at its peak when his was released). Anyway though, it was not until Dee's video was FEATURED by YouTube did it skyrocket to 850k views, something which is not rare for a featured video to do, in fact it could almost be expected in many cases. Therefore, I think the part about it being an instant hit should be removed because while the fans loved the song, it is utterly misleading to make it seem like it came out and got hundreds of thousands of hits when it got no more than 10k on its own and the many hundreds coming months later when it was featured. Hm, that's fair. I changed it to "a hit". Which I mean, no matter when it happened it definately currently counts as a hit :) --Zoey 22:58, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

Most popular YouTube fan vid?

I thought TheHill88 had one with more hits than this one? She talks about Breebrows and everything: --DoubleG 19:50, 10 June 2007 (CDT)
