The Cabin

Hello Admins... which is the correct location name... (a) "Jonas's parents' cabin" or (b) "Jonas's cabin"? They're both listed in this article under different headings. The first (a) is more accurate but (b) seems to have been made official as (a) redirects to it. I got a little confused when creating an image category for this location and unfortunately created 2 categories. Please keep the category with the correct name and delete the other one. I believe we agreed that Jonas's cabin was the correct name, so that's why I added a delete tag to the other category. No harm done.--Jonpro 14:43, 7 March 2007 (CST)

You guys might also be interested in the discussion at Template_talk:locations#Some thoughts on locations. We're trying to figure out how to standardize our location pages, and get them up to speed. As for the question here -- the reasoning was that we call it "Jonas's house" and therefore it should be "Jonas's cabin." In both cases his parents bought the house and when they died he inherited it. Since the situation is identical it made sense to have the names reflect that. --JayHenry 14:45, 7 March 2007 (CST)

Redesign?

Now that the List of Videos as well as more recently the List of Characters have undergone a completely magnificent transformation, I think the Locations page should have a redesign as well. Thoughts? SilverBULLETx3 17:03, 8 May 2007 (CDT)

Missing locations

Minor locations

I think we should keep a short list and Merge all the articles, about minor locations,(like The chain-link fence, Pins and pints, The office park, etc) into one article called Minor locations -misty 01:35, 15 May 2007 (CDT)

To Add

Here's what I'm thinking about adding
-In minor locations I think we should add the cowboy's ranch and the Order HQ
-A page about all the locations in the General Mexico area
-I think we should have a page about all the locations in Vegas (which would include the area outside of the bunker)
-A page about Texas (any images from Texas not from Jules/Taylor's houses.)
-Rest stops??

Would that include everything up to date? I can start to get images for all the missing locations (including locations that are currently up that need images) if this all sounds good to people. I feel like I'm forgetting some though, so thoughts are appriciated! --Zoey 23:54, 16 May 2007 (CDT)

regorganiztion

I disagree with the change in organiztion to have home as the main catagory. The way it was organized before had the top section reserved for locations that were of significance for at least a complete story arc, and the bottom for locations that appeared in only one or two videos. The way it is now it's gives focus to places that people sleep,regardless of how significant that place is to the story. -misty 03:09, 18 May 2007 (CDT)

I think I agree with Misty. I'd prefer to match the template to the organization that we had here. (because I also agree with Zoey that the template and this page should be organized similarly) Lucy's apartment is of roughly equal importance as the Pins and Pints. Also, this is unrelated, but I'm thinking that in addition to the page for General LA area we should also have a page for Northern California, Texas, Mexico. Yeah, er, I was trying to be consistant with the bottom index. I'm not really sure what the best way to determine "significant locations" is. But I am working on trying to get more images up, so uhh.. I'll keep doing that for now, at least until we reach some sort of consensus? :P --Zoey 19:30, 18 May 2007 (CDT)
