Wow!

Wow, Houdini & Silver . . . great job! Though I must say that I hardly would consider taking Bree to a party to be considered a "mission." Nevertheless, now that the page has been created, it can really take off! --Pheon 16:02, 29 July 2007 (CDT)

the whole bree party was just a sort of thing i put as a guide for me. if you want to take that down go ahead--Houdini 16:05, 29 July 2007 (CDT)

Now that this page is probably going to have a major makeover, I'd like to say that IMO, the first real "Mission" is probably the Fake Ceremony. But then again, that's by my understanding of the word "Mission." Anyone else have a different take on the word?? --Pheon 17:23, 31 July 2007 (CDT)
Go ahead and take it off, im cool with it.--Houdini 17:28, 31 July 2007 (CDT)

Missionbox Template

Given how this page has expanded and attracted more attention, you may wish to use a template per mission to spruce it up (similar to the template per character on the Characters page). My first draft of a template can be found here: Template:Missionbox. However, note that pretty much everything inside this Missionbox template is configurable so go ahead and try out different border widths, background colours, font sizing etc. Hope this is useful... I like the template a lot thankyou for it.--Houdini 17:17, 31 July 2007 (CDT)
Feel free to play around and post example usages here. It's just enough to get you started for now. I'll come back and tweak later once I have some feedback and know how you want to use it. I want to adapt it to fit a 4:3 image and then crop all the widescreen mission images to 4:3 for consistency. But I'll wait for feedback first. Another idea is to create a mirror image template with the mission-logo and pic on the right hand side. The list of mission boxes could then be alternated left/right/left/etc. Psmith 17:36, 31 July 2007 (CDT)

Examples of use (play around with parameters and post feedback here)

-r- or psmith

User:-R-, also is starting a sandbox with a different design. So which do you like more, Psmith's or -R-'s.

You can view mine here (LG) and here (KM). We may also find to way to cross mine and Psmith's. Love, Randy (Say Wha'? | Whachu Doin'?) [10:35 PM, Central Daylight]
I think a cross between the two would look sweet (I really like PSmith's "mini-file" feel to his, and I also like Randy's borders), but I have no idea what kind of code-nightmare that would mean! --Pheon 23:50, 31 July 2007 (CDT)
ya seriously--Houdini 23:53, 31 July 2007 (CDT)
I hate to say it, but I like Psmith's better. It has more of a "missions file" feel to it, like a detective. I don't know, that probably didn't make sense.   •Silver•   Talk | Contribs 11:21, 1 August 2007 (CDT)

Added Missionbox to my sandbox

Notice here how I added the "Missionbox" to my template. The problem: notice how the "Should They Meet Jonas" title's hight expands under the template. Does anyone know how to fix that? Plus I made another version of the missionbox to fit the size correctly in my sandbox as well. View it here. Love, Randy (Say Wha'? | Whachu Doin'?) [3:32 PM, Central Daylight]

Hmmm . . . well, now that I see the two combined, I don't like the double title (one on the "file" and one at the corner above it). Anyway to remove that extra bar? If not, then we may just have to one style . . . . --Pheon 15:56, 1 August 2007 (CDT)
I was thinking that we could get rid of it, too, but a lot of other people think that the bar makes it a mission box... ugh...... this is complicated. Love, Randy (Say Wha'? | Whachu Doin'?) [4:05 PM, Central Daylight]
Look here, I took off the bar and the title. Better? Love, Randy (Say Wha'? | Whachu Doin'?) [10:21 PM, Central Daylight]
