I like the idea of this page, and I think with some work we could make this an introduction, not only to the LGPedia, but the entire lonelygirl15 thing.

A lot of people have a very minimal understanding of how wikis work, and sadly a lot of people are simply intimidated by reading more than a paragraph or two at a time. So we need to keep this friendly, explicit and direct.

After all, we already have an LGPedia:welcome page, as the very first link on the Main Page, but people are evidently having a lot of trouble noticing it, or it's not occuring to them to click on it. There's only so much we can do for people who can't figure out to click on "Welcome" but if we spruce up the Welcome page and the Newcomer page, I think we'll be doing as much as we can.--JayHenry 13:07, 30 January 2007 (CST)

I agree this page is redundant -misty 15:59, 23 April 2007 (CDT)
Agreed. Redundant and even less visible than LGPedia:Welcome. I think the Welcome page is user-friendly enough. If it weren't then we should be focusing on making it better (that doesn't necessarily mean making it more like this page). OwenIsCool 13:26, 25 April 2007 (CDT)
