Transcript

(Charlie films a bunch of candles on her floor, some lit, some not. She zooms out to reveal that they spell out "KATE". Cut to Charlie filming herself with night vision.)

Charlie: I haven't been sleeping lately. I'm still having nightmares. Uh, they've been getting a lot worse, actually.

(Charlie zooms in on her left eye. Cut to the bathroom faucet dripping. Cut to Charlie filming herself in the bathroom mirror.)

It's my last night here in the flat. I really don't care, though, to be honest with you. I'm starting to think of this place as haunted. I mean, I've been hearing really weird noises and there's just this feeling in here now. It's like, sometimes I feel this chill. Just happens every now and again, but it's really beginning to spook me out.

(Cut to a shot from a window in the flat. Trains can be seen passing nearby. Cut to a shot of the streets below.)

I could swear I just saw Steve hanging around outside.

(Charlie scans the streets and a banging noise is heard from the front door. Cut to Charlie opening the door of the room she's in. More banging can be heard as she makes her way to the front door.)

Steve: Charlie? Charlie, please? I need to talk to you.

(Charlie reaches out to unlock the front door, but recoils at more banging.)

Steve: Come on! I need to speak to someone!

(Charlie sits on the floor with her back against the door.)

Steve: I'm really desperate. (Bangs again.) Please! Please? Charlie, I- I'm falling apart here. I- I'm sick of being accused of something I did not do! (Bangs on the door.) Charlie! Charlie, please? I- I-I- I need to speak to someone about what they're saying I did to Kate. Its- I- I think- I loved her. I-I-I loved her, Charlie. I- I really did.

Person in the hall: Oi! Keep it down, you prick, or I'll-

Steve: Sod off, you miserable git.

Person in the hall: Come on, mate; just come over and meet us?

Steve: Look. If you don't piss off right now, I'll stab you in the face and make you wish you were- (Bangs on the door.) Charlie!

(Charlie runs to her bedroom and hides under her covers. Steve continues to bang on the door, begging to be let in.)
