i noticed that varying the default font in my web browser effects they relative layout of the List of videos and throws the montage out of alignment. I'm trying to test how to make the title in the list of videos be a fixed size and font.  I'm using Arial 36px for the test to make it obvious but then i will reduce it to a smaller size when it's working. So far I haven't been successful, and could use some help figuring it out.  -misty 14:03, 9 May 2007 (CDT)

This is a potential template for the character pages.  If used, it would replace template:person. Tomorrow I will work on making it conditional. Colors will be optional. In addition to appearing on canon character's pages, I'd like either this template -- or a very similar template -- to work with non-canon characters and on the pages of cast and crew. Work in progress. Suggestions welcome.

:However, the template is currently broken under FF 1.5.0.11 - can't pinpoint what exactly you did to "achieve" that, but the expand link resolves to code instead of the link. (Although I must admit I wasn't in the mood for revision checking just now. Maybe I'll look for the error later.)

Already had concern about the "first appearance, last appearance." For canon characters I think it may be worth the extra effort.  For spin-offs and cast & crew probably not. --JayHenry 17:37, 3 March 2007 (CST)

:I like the new templates very much.  The only thing I'd chance is the "last appearance" thing. Firstly, it "appearances" isn't really applicable to crew, since they never appear.  Secondly, they need to be constantly updated in the cases of BDJ, and if used for crew, those would all need to be updated too.  Actually, it wouldn't be that bad updating for just BDJ.  Can we make the appearances field optional and that way we can leave it out if it's not applicable to a particular person? What's there to figure out? Defining a font class and size in the CSS should make it ineligible for default changes. If that doesn't do it, there's no way. There is no "override user default" flag I'm aware of. After I fixed your CSS :P ;) Arial 36 worked fine.
