Transcript

Daniel: Bree, are you sure you don't want me to film? Anyways, so we're out here in lovely (with a Spanish accent) "Me-he-co". Why do I have to carry the...murse?

Jonas: Because you're the bi--

Alex: Because I said so. (laughter with Daniel and Alex)

Daniel: And Alex apparently says that this is the most wonderful beach in the world.

Alex: It's true!

Daniel: Why is that Alex? What makes this beach any better than anything else?

Alex: First of all, the sand is never too hot. And the water's never too cold. There's shade, so you don't have to bring one of those disgusting tents.

Daniel: Redneck teepee! We used to sell those at Gas 'n Eats. My family definitely had some. Well, what else makes this the place to be?

Alex: I don't know, memories.

Daniel: Like who? You and family?

Alex: Sure...

Daniel: You didn't say that too convincingly. What was that look for?

Alex: I don't know, if you spent time with someone from your past.

Daniel: Like who? A friend? Like... your accountant? Your dog?

Alex: Don't have a dog!

Daniel: Cat?! Don't tell me you're bringing us somewhere where your ex-boyfriend and you used to make--

Alex: What?! It's an amaz--

Daniel: I am going home! I'm not even going down there.

Alex: Get over it, Daniel!

Daniel: Did you make out under that rock over there?

(Jonas makes noise (la la la la la) so he can't hear what Alex is saying.)

Alex: No! (Alex starts laughing.)

Jonas: I don't want to hear it.

(Briefly hear a siren, probably start to song that plays while they frolic on the beach. Then cuts to them walking back to the car)

Jonas: Thanks, Alex, that was...

Alex: I think I got a sunburn.

Daniel: Did you?

Alex: Probably got too much sun, you know.

Daniel: On your shoulders?

Jonas: (picks up a small rock and holds it up to the camera) I'll throw it. (Bree and Jonas laugh) Let's go eat, I'm hungry!

Alex: Me too.

Jonas: (opens the car door) You got it?

(A black car is seen approaching from the background)

Bree: (from behind the camera) Oh my god...

(Jonas turns around to see the car, then turns back to Bree)

Jonas: Bree! Run! Run to the beach!

(Cut to Jonas, Daniel, and Alex all screaming by the other side of the car)

Daniel: (screaming at Alex) Did you set this up?

Alex: No, I--

Daniel: Is this you? Did you do this?!

Alex: (screaming back) Why would I do--

Jonas: You are unbelievable!

Alex: Jonas I-- (over the top of Jonas) Why--

Jonas: You are un--you are unbelievable!

Alex: I don't have a choice!

Jonas: Who are you?!

Alex: (crying) I don't have a choice, alright?! I still have to do--

Daniel: (holds her face, softly) What's going on. What is going on.

Alex: They're not here for you anyway, they're here for me, I have one more--

(Meanwhile, Jonas has gone around to the front passenger seat, gone in and taken something out. As he holds it up it is revealed to be a gun)

Jonas: Just stand there!

Daniel: Jesus Christ!

Alex: Whoa!

Daniel: What are you doing?!

Jonas: Get away from me right now! Get away from me!

(Daniel holds up his hands in defense, but is overpowered by Jonas who is still screaming in his face and waving the gun)

Daniel: Get it away!

Jonas: Get away from me!

Alex: (screaming)I have one more-- ...stuff--

Jonas: (to Alex) Go over there! Go with your people!

Alex: ---I can't leave yet!

Jonas: Shut up! I don't wanna hear it.

Alex: (calmed) They're here for me. They don't need you anymore, Bree.

Daniel: (over to of Alex) What is (unintelligible)

Alex: They have another girl!

(She advances to the camera as Daniel tries to hold her back)

Daniel: Get in the car!

(Jonas goes around to the driver's side, still pointing the gun at the black car)

Daniel: Let's go. Dude, put the gun down! Let's just go.

(Jonas gets in the car, Daniel starts yelling again)

Daniel: What the hell is going on?! Where'd you even get that thing?

Jonas: (mumbles) Never mind.

Daniel: (still shouting) What do you mean, never mind?! We're in Mexico and you have a gun!

Jonas: (calm) It's a good thing I had it.

Notes

  • This is the first time one of the main characters has handled a gun.
  • A second different car is visible driving off after the first car.
  • The first car to drive off does not seem to have anyone in the back.
  • A man in sunglasses and a suit can be seen standing behind the first car along with a woman in sunglasses and a suit standing to the right of the car as seen from the front.
  • Many "omens" or foreboding features are present in this video:
    • Jonas is wearing a cap.
    • Alex is wearing all black.
    • A good portion of the video takes place near the ocean, part of a theme of danger and uncertainty in the series.
  • A "murse" refers to a purse that a man carries or a "man-purse".
  • The growing affections of Alex and Daniel are shown twice. In the "beach frolic" montage there is a clip of Daniel carrying Alex and in the confrontation at the car Daniel endearingly attends to Alex, holding her head softly and speaking calmly.
  • This video was uploaded to YouTube on April 19th, 2007 but was taken down. It was put back up on April 20th, 2007.
