A few of you have asked me to tell you what some of the other articles on the front page of today's newspaper said. There was one that said the body of Patricia Nielson was found on Adak Island, Alaska. Apparently her death is still unexplained and investigations are continuing. The other one was about how it was recently discovered that, shortly before his death, Edward Salinas made a secret trip to London. However it did go on to say that they didn't think the visit and his death were related.

Transcript

Text: KateModern contains products which have been included within the show on behalf of Toyota

(The camera pans up Lee)

Lee: I don't know how anyone could ever do this. I don't know how anyone could ever be so heartless. I don't even know where to start.

(Cut to footage of Lee and Sophie at St. Pancras train station.)

Lee: (voiceover) So, me and Sophie had gone down to the station to meet the others and they're not there.

Sophie: (at the station) So we haven't worked out yet how we're gonna tell them. They're gonna find out that we were trying to help by asking you lot who you thought stole Michelle Clore's last artwork. Well it seemed like a really good idea at the time to go over all the evidence online. But we didn't really think it through. You know, how we'd actually tell them who you thought it was.

Lee: (turns camera to self) Yeah, and you lot thought it was Julia. But I don't see how that would work though cause she was the one who'd just been locked up. No, why would she go back there if she just escaped?

Sophie: (off camera) Lee, look, it's her now! Look, it's Julia!

Lee: Oh yeah! (Turns camera to Julia, who is walking with Rupert and the shadow. They begin to walk toward them.) (voiceover) And then, and then she appears. Julia, she's with Rupert! And with the shadow.

Shadow: Oy, that's enough now! Turn the camera off.

Lee: (voiceover) And so we're shouting at her. (From footage) It's okay, Jules. You can tell us! (voiceover) She just ignored us! So we phoned the police (cut to a shot of a Metropolitan Police sign) and we phoned the others. (Cut to Lee on his phone) And Sophie's mate (cut to Sophie on her phone) phones her and says we should look at The London Paper.

Sophie: (on the phone) The London Paper? Yeah, got it. Thank you. (to Lee) Lee, that paper, the newspaper, have you still got it?

Lee: Aw, no, no. I left it in there. (Sophie sighs)

(Cut to footage of Sophie running across the street to fetch a paper.)

Lee: (voiceover) So we get one.

Sophie: (To paperboy) Can I have a paper please?

Paperboy: Course. Here you go.

Sophie: Thank you. (Runs back across the street) (Reading the headline of the paper) "Clore Forgery Blunder Exposed." (A picture of Charlie with her hand up to ward off the photographers is on the front page.) Uh, "French police have arrested an Australian girl in connection with the disappearance of controversial modern artist Michelle Clore's last work. The forgery was found in her silver Toyota Aygo... She was arrested because her silver Toyota Aygo was captured on CCTV nearby. Police were unable to ch- press charges. She's been released and is now on her way back to the UK."

Lee: (voiceover) And... it's brilliant! Because (cut to footage of Lee and Sophie meeting with Charlie upon her arrival back) Charlie's free. (To Charlie) Welcome back! (Charlie and Lee hug) (voiceover) But then I realized that... (cut to Lee vlogging) that this whole thing... it's just been one great big set up so that Julia could get this painting and she could frame Charlie for it! And I... (cut back to the footage of Charlie and Lee) (voiceover) How could you do that to someone else? (To Charlie) W-what about her? You know, Julia? You know, after what she's done.

Charlie: She's dead. (Walks away)

Lee: (voiceover) So I don't know what's gonna happen now. Cause the others (cut to Lee) are all still missing. And... (chokes up) Julia's back with Rupert? And... i-is this how it's going to end? Is it? (Chokes up a bit more and covers the camera.)

Notes

  • At the very beginning of the video, you can hear the director say, "Action" to Sam.
