Introduction
Thelema, which means "will" in Ancient Greek, is a philosophical system that in its modern form is generally credited to have been founded the occultist Aleister Crowley. Followers of Thelema dubb themselves Thelemites and are often found in initiatory schools such as the OTO and AA. Thelema has a body of literature written by Aleister Crowley extrapolating its doctrines in poetry and prose. Such works are The Holy Books of Thelema (which contains the central text, The Book of the Law) and Liber 418. Thelema is still celebrated widely in various forms and promulgation of the literature of Aleister Crowley.
