Thewinekone is a popular YouTube user who has been jokingly described by Bree as retarded. Clips of thewinekone were used in her video, YouTubers Secret Language. Bree's first video blog, First Blog / Dorkiness Prevails in which she talks about thewinekone, is a reference to a May 31 video by thewinekone entitled "Hotness Prevails / Worst Video Ever."
On Sept. 14, thewinekone posted a video analysis of lonelygirl15, where he said that he was also a fake and ought to be cast on her show. He pointed out that it was politically incorrect for Bree to call him retarded. Many advocates for the mentally disabled consider it offensive to use the term "retarded" to apply to people who are silly or behaving stupidly.
