I must say I like the redesigned look for the pages that you've been working on. Thanks for helping out with that. One thing I thought of that might improve it is putting the code for the subheadings into a template. I could probably just do this myself, but since you've been doing a lot of work, I wanted to ask if it sounded like a good idea to you. Basically, the syntax would be something like
+

+
{{subheading|HEADING_TEXT}}
+

+
That way, the page would look a little nicer while editing and the subheadings could be changed on all the pages at once if we wanted to do that. Sound like a good idea? Thanks!--[[User:Jonpro|Jonpro]] 11:19, 12 May 2007 (CDT)

:::Sweet, that's exactly what I was thinking. Before we make it universal, though, we should probably make sure that sounds like a good idea to everyone. Also, should it apply to ''every'' page on the wiki (well, the main namespace at least). Hey Misty,
I removed the no IE logo you put on the Main Page. It would be really ironic if we spent all that time making IE-friendly pages, only to turn around and tell our users, on the Main Page no less, to not use IE. I totally understand your frustration with the IE issues we've had designing the List of videos page, but I don't think that's the way to go. However, I think this is a great userbox idea! Have you made one before?
OwenIsCool 21:10, 21 March 2007 (CDT)

Misty,
You've been around for a while and know you shouldn't be editing the Main Page out of whim like that. If you want to take initiative, there are a LOT of pages that you can edit without having to get consensus from the community. You seemed to be most interested in high profile pages like Main Page, List of Videos, etc. but really we have lots of other pages that could use some work, just see Category:Tagged articles or LGPedia:Tasks.
OwenIsCool 13:30, 23 April 2007 (CDT)

OIC, I didn't edit it on a whim, I edited it based on a the discussion on the other page. the way I thought things worked here is people add information to a page, and if there is an objection it is reverted and discussed. this wasn't a major change to the page it was just a minor addition, if you think it doesn't belong then you were right to revert it till we get consensus, but I don't think I did anything wrong by adding it, and seeing if it is accepted. -misty 16:21, 23 April 2007 (CDT)
Sorry, I wasn't aware that anyone had agreed to it on any discussion page. Were you referring to Talk:List of New Girl Candidates? All I see on that page is two casual suggestions to make it a featured article, and your suggestion to add it to the main page. I would support featuring it, but would prefer to not make it a permanent fixture of the Main page. I just don't want to jump the gun because all this might be over in a couple of weeks when Bree figures it out (that's just a guess, obv). The other topics on there, like Bree's religion, have been of relevance for almost the entire series and are still pertinent to the story. I hope my resistance on this issue doesn't discourage you from editing LGPedia pages, it's just that it's wiser to take changes slow on the Main Page. In the past (pre-redesign era), we had some issues with people disagreeing on what should/shouldn't be on there, and editing back and forth, just because they all thought it was ok to add things when they thought it was a good idea. I'd rather not revisit those times because it's better to get consensus beforehand. OwenIsCool 23:25, 23 April 2007 (CDT)

Thanks!

Hi Misty,
Thanks so much for helping to revert all that spam. That was a particularly bad wave and I definitely hope it doesn't keep up. Thanks for the help; it keeps the wiki usable for other and lets Jonpro and I go directly to blocking/deleting.
OwenIsCool 11:12, 28 April 2007 (CDT)

thanks! I like green =)
OwenIsCool 13:23, 28 April 2007 (CDT)

ooooo. (just got your message.) I THOUGHT it was a lil weird that I of all people got banned!!! Like "what the--?! I don't spam! ...well, i may talk alot and get a.d.d sometimes, but i keep it to a minimum!" ;)

Icee

I was wondering about that. I figured whoever wrote it would revert it if they didn't like it. Chelseyrl 19:32, 30 April 2007 (CDT)

wow

You look a lot like Jules! --JayHenry 23:10, 30 April 2007 (CDT)

Lost work

Sorry about that, but I had no way of knowing you were working on it. One thing you definitely can do is add {{inuse}} to the top of the page. Avoiding edit conflicts is pretty much the purpose of that template. Just remove it when you're not working on the page. Also, when you have an edit conflict, you don't have to lost all your work. If the conflict is because of a minor edit like mine, simply go to the page history and see what was changed, and make the change yourself before saving. Just make sure you don't lose your edits in the process. Again, I'm sorry that happened but it's really not my fault.--Jonpro 11:54, 6 May 2007 (CDT)

Hi Misty. My tip when making big changes that take a long time is to draft or test it all out on your own user page (where no-one will be conflicting with your edits) and then just copy/paste the new section into the real page in one simple move when you're done. Psmith 12:05, 6 May 2007 (CDT)

Too many pics on list of videos

I use Firefox v2.0.0.3, standard settings. This is what it looks like to me:
