Transcript

Bree: (to camera) So today, I decided that I was going to find out what Daniel and my dad talked about. Just watch it. It was funny.

(Bree is now holding the Web cam in front of her and she has a mischievous smile.)

Daniel: Is it on?

Bree: Yes?

Daniel: It's on.

(Bree giggles explosively. Daniel is on the bed flipping through a book.)

Daniel: You're forever having that thing on.

Bree: Well, I wanted to ask you a question.

Daniel: (mocking) Well, I wanted to ask you a question.

Bree: No, I really did.

Daniel: (mocking) No, I really did.

Bree: No, shh! what did my dad ask you?

Daniel: Nothing.

Bree: Yes he did ask you something.

Daniel: Nah, not really.

Bree: Something, tell me. Why?

Daniel: He didn't really ask anything.

Bree: Daniel's a liar.

(cut to Bree sitting in front of her Web cam with Daniel no longer in the room.)

Bree: (to camera) I'm all about asking the tough questions.

(cut back to Bree holding the Web cam.)

Bree: Did he ask you...?

Daniel: He didn't ask me anything.

Bree: Yes, he asked you something.

Daniel: No, he didn't. Stop... He asked me why it smells in here.

(Daniel gets out of the bed and walks over to Bree's desk.)

Bree: It doesn't smell.

Daniel: It smells. I think the fish is still all over it.

Bree: Eww...

Daniel: It stinks. I'm gonna light some candles.

Bree: Did he ask you... what'd he ask you? (Daniel looks at her in silence and lights a match. Her voice becomes very shrill) I wanna know! What did my dad ask you?

Daniel: I was saying, he didn't say anything.

Bree: Yes, he did.

Daniel: No, he didn't.

Bree: Oh, you just talked for like a half hour?

(holding a burning match in one hand, Daniel tries to adjust a candle with the other.)

Daniel: I'm gonna get burned, ah!

(Bree giggles too much. Daniel goes to light a candle in a glass jar.)

Daniel: It's hot.

(cut to Bree sitting in front of her computer with Daniel gone.)

Bree: Gosh, Daniel, what were you thinking?

(back to Bree holding the Web cam.)

Bree: Daniel's a liar. (she pans around the room, Daniel is about to light a candle in a glass jar on top of her book shelf.) Did he...

Daniel: This thing smells good?

Bree: ...ask... did he, did he ask you if...

Daniel: It better smell good because it stinks in here.

(Daniel pulls the match out of the candle in the jar, and begins to light the three candles atop the shelf. The camera shows that the three candles are in front of a picture of Aleister Crowley as if it's a shrine.)

Bree: Did he ask you if you... stop!

(She reaches to stop him from lighting the candle.)

Daniel: What?

Bree: No, no, no! Stop! Stop!

(She stops him and scurries over to her dresser.)

Daniel: What's wrong?

Bree: Huh?

Daniel: What's wrong?

Bree: Nothing.

Daniel: What do you care if I light that?

(he starts to pull out another match and turns toward the shrine.)

Bree: No don't. Because... they're not. Don't.

Daniel: Whatever, you're weird.

Bree: Did he ask you if... you liked me?

Daniel: Shut up. He didn't ask me anything.

(Bree pans around the room to a blanket she has hung up in the corner. Thor who wasn't yet named, is peeking over the edge of the blanket.)

Bree: I put this up, but I don't know how I feel about it right now. It's kind of growing on me. Teddy looks like he's flying.

Daniel: Yeah, that's what I was going to say. He looks like he's in a hang glider or something.

Bree: He likes it... (she sits down next to Daniel on the bed. Daniel picks up Purple Monkey.) so Daniel... we all wanna know.

Daniel: This, uh, purple monkey wants to...

(Daniel blocks the camera with Purple Monkey. Bree swats it down.)

Bree: Stop. What did he ask?

(Daniel gently bops her on the nose with Purple Monkey.)

Daniel: Nothing. Don't worry.

Bree: Something.

Daniel: Huh?

Bree: Something.

Daniel: Nothing.

Bree: (in a baby voice) Please?

(cut to Daniel standing in front of her dresser with his hands in his pockets. Bree is filming him from the bed.)

Daniel: He goes, "Uh... Daniel, come here. Bree smells like cheese." (Bree giggles too much) That's what he said. I swear. Bree's cheese.

Bree: I wish you weren't a liar.

Daniel: Stop, turn it off. Stop.

Bree: (giggling as she turns the camera back on herself.) Okay, that's enough, no more. (she shakes her finger at the camera.) But he's gonna tell me. I'm gonna make him tell me.

(cut back to Bree at her computer, with Daniel gone again.)

Bree: (to camera) Maybe Purple Monkey heard! (she pulls up Purple Monkey so they're face to face.) Did you hear? (she raises an eyebrow at Purple Monkey. She makes Purple Monkey shake her head vigorously.) You're a liar too.

Notes

  • This is the first video to show all sides of Bree's bedroom.
  • At 1:04 a 2006 DateWorks calendar can be seen behind Bree. The month is August. This helped quell the belief that all of these videos had been pre-recorded and were being released over several weeks.
  • Bree points out the canopy that she put up in the corner. It was added to the set to hide the air conditioner behind it.
  • Daniel points out that the room still smells of fish and goes to light candles in order to cover up the smell, but when he goes to light the candles under the picture of Aleister Crowley, Bree gets upset and tells him to stop, suggesting that the candles hold some kind of importance in relation to the picture, perhaps having some kind of ritualistic significance
  • This video introduces Thor.
