Well, other than about 10 minutes while picking up a bottle of wine for christmas, I haven't seen my brother in oh, a year plus. There doesn't need to be a giant dramatic schism, traumatic event to drive siblings apart. Sometimes, brother and sister just don't get along or have nothing in common to keep them together. Geographical distance can make this even worse.
