Transcript

(Adjusts the position of the Camera while sitting on the bed.)

Jonas: What am I supposed to do? (Cuts to Jonas pacing.) That video over the weekend, that girl... (Sitting back on bed.) I don't know who those people are or what they're doing to that girl. (Sighs.) Sarah told me I was the one. Like I'm something out of a fantasy novel, that I'm going to wake up one day and realize it and I'm going to find a magical sword, or I'm going to suddenly know Kung Fu.

(Cut to Jonas at his laptop, still on the bed, faint audio from Chapter 1: A Call to Arms in the back ground, before cutting back to Jonas sitting in front of the camera.)

Jonas: I don't buy it, this... destiny... stuff, or this load about me being the leader of The Resistance. Okay. I'm just a guy, I'm just some stupid guy who got drawn into something way out of hi- way out of my league. Clearly, I'm being drawn in again. Hell, I even bought a new camera.

(Cut to Jonas again at his laptop, audio from Split in the background, cut back to Jonas sitting.)

Jonas: I got an anonymous email, it was an e-ticket for a flight and the task was to fly to the location of the auction. Assuming that's the Hymn of None's not so subtle way of telling me to go to the auction and get this holy book everyone's been posting about, The Samsaran Doctrine... sounds like something out of a dungeons and dragons game.

(Cut to Jonas in the far right corner of the room, on the phone)

Jonas: Yeah, Hi, I'm trying to get- (Pauses) Trying to get information on my e-ticket. (Standing and spinning) Hi, yes, I just talked to somebody else, I need information on my e-ticket. (Growing annoyed) Hi! Yes, I'm trying to get information on my e-ticket. (Plops on bed) It's number 47876 to United. No, please don't transfer me.

(Throws phone down on bed. Cut to Jonas sitting back on bed in front of the camera.)

Jonas: The email said that I was the only one that could do anything about it. Really? Fine. That's fine. You want to email me and blackmail me and send me torture videos that make Hostel look like the next Care Bear movie? You want to guilt me into risking my life for some stupid book that's probably not even real? (Gets quiet) That's fine. Because I've already lost everything I've ever had ten times over. If I'm the only asshole who's dumb enough to fight these monsters, so be it. I'll tell you guys, I'll be damned if I let anybody else get involved with this mess. I'm not going to let that happen. I'm not going to play these games any more, I'm going to get on that airplane and get that book... and hopefully not loose my life in the process.

(Cut to Jonas packing a duffel bag, the back ground music getting louder before softening as we cut back to Jonas sitting on the bed)

Jonas: I'll talk to you guys in a few days.
