I actually came across some Leo Tolstoy stuff while researching my judaism and Capital Punishment paper last week...(or maybe NAtive American religions? Most likely death penalty research though) I wonder if I actually wrote down what it said? ::goes to search::

blame whoever was behind that debacle we all got burned on, and not The Creators! 
at least this is them trying to throw us a bone that makes sense in LG15 and now allows for something to be done with the Cassie character.
what on earth could they have done with her as it stood post-CiW? from what we knew, Cassie was a corpse and in Second Life.
now at least we know she's probably alive, and just a bit of a bitch. |
Covedweller, you are 100% right on this. The fact that CiW died out has nothing to do with the Creators. The fact that they pulled Cassie back into the story and gave an explanation that pulled everything together and even made it a tangential part of the LG story is a good thing, from my viewpoint. And while I don't think they will probably use Cassie as an actual character in the story, we do know that she's most likely alive and out there somewhere. Which was more than we got from CiW, really. |

Okay. I watched the CASSIE IS WATCHING STUFF (up until the bs about ebay tarot cards controversy and the CREATORS debunking its canon... which i personally thought gave lonelygirl edge) but Who Is Frank!? Was there something later I missed?
Furthermore, this vlog is obviously their commentary, a parallel parable on the Cassie Is Watching videos... manson et al. I thought this was a very clever way of handling it, though I am annoyed it seemingly CONTRADICTS previous things Bree said about Cassie (swimming video... and the friendship thing, cassie getting freaked about brees religion). I think I preferred it when cassie was just some girl daniel had classes with. simple. put. done.
I am still confused what videos Bree can see and what she can't. Op? Tach? Why wasn't she more pissed about the Gemma thing? She cries whenever Daniel blows his nose, yet responds tepidly to her parents disappearing and gemma turning all anakin skywalker. |

It was Daniel who didn't remember Cassie. At some point in the conversation, Bree says "I don't know," but it's not really indicating that she doesn't know. It was said the way you say I don't know when you want to change the subject or deflect the question. |

Bree: "I don't remember."
Daniel: "Why would you even bring it --"
Bree: "I don't know" etc.
Bree did say she didn't remember what the girl looked like. Curious that Bree would remember all these other details but not even what she looks like.

It could be a mistake. Of course, if the Creators intend to leave it at CiW being a bunch of practical jokes on Cassie's part, she might have changed "Franklin" to "Francis" herself.

I don't see it, guys. Everything's being hit with strong lighting, but especially from the right side of the screen (you can really see it on Bree's face, the chair, and the book case behind her). Also, when the lighting on Bree gets dimmer, the lighting on the bookshelf gets dimmer.
Also, look at those books on the area that Bree's seen sitting on at one point. When she's sitting in front of them, her shadow is obstructing the light from hitting them on the bottoms/tops (whichever), but when she's not, the light hits them straight on. I think she was really there.

agreed. plus, WE don't know it's her dad just by the sound of his voice. have some imagination here! not everything can be true to life when there's an audience to keep in mind.

about Cassie,
The Creators might be wanting to revive THEIR Cassie, but for all the CiW followers, they weren't just gonna ignore CiW, so thats why they decided to come up with the "Cassie was a prankster" story...thats what I believe, hopefully thats the case and we will hear more about Cassie, or even get to see her...I REALLY like the idea that Cassie is Bree's alter ego...

WTF that was LAME. I mean I love referring back to old stuff, but that was about the most blunt, blatant homage ever! Are you seriously saying Bree had a special "feynman and jared diamond talking spot"? Something about it rubbed me the wrong way, kind of as if all the smart stuff Bree knew about all sorts of random things aren't so random at all, since the things she told us actually came from her father. I don't know, I just realllly disliked that part because seriously Bree needs to be independently smart, not someone who got her two biggest "smart things" from her dad telling her. |
I so disagree with you. When you are home-schooled, your parents are your teachers, so who else would she have talked with about these kinds of things? When I listened to the message, I imagined a park or someplace else near a library, as the kids I know that were homeschooled would get books from the library, often with their parents.
It's just a guess, but it made perfect sense to me. |
