Wow, I can't seem to get my avatar to work. I have a pic that I want to use but the only options I have are:

-Delete image (there is no image to delete yet) or
-Provide a URL for an image online (the image is not online!)

What can I do, or do I only have the option of using an online pic?

I am from Boston and have been watching LG15 since about June/July.

I am a writer and I have had my own blog for over two years. My opinion is that the pacing of LG15 is far too slow, tho the characters and the storyline are interesting enough to hold my attention. I think that, with better writing, it would move along a lot faster and would be more exciting.

At times I am half-tempted to ask the creators for a job...

I agree that the story is a little slow, and the major issue is all the non-canon spin-offs!

What exactly does "canon" mean anyway? Does that refer to the main characters?

Oh and did you ever see my spoof of TWJaniak, the Elmo one? I know it was a little mean, but the guy never posted again...

What are your thoughts on the whole "let the readers dictate the story" concept?

In a way, it's exciting. In another, it might lead to predictable / cliche'd storylines. There's a reason 99% of us are not screenwriters.

If the viewers had their way, Darth Vader would have been killed 30 minutes into "Star Wars", and the Titanic would not have sunk. But the stories would have suffered for it.

Also, I think they are screwing up the whole Daniel/Bree flirtation. They obviously like each other, but no hooking up, not even a little bit? Not realistic.

In my "Star Wars" world Darth Vader would not have been killed 30 minutes in - he would have become the big enchilada - Lord Supreme ruler of Galaxy.

Back to more serious matters. I don't think the creators are letting the viewers dictate the story. I believe they have definite ideas of where things are going, but they definitely follow things here in the forums and if they find something they like, or they realize we're just not getting (or liking!) something then they take that feedback (which is what it is) into account when deciding where to go next.

However, I do agree with you to a certain point. I do believe that the Bree/Daniel scenario is a little off - I don't think they should be knockin' boots or anything (she was raised pretty strictly after all) but I do think a kiss here and there would not be out of place.

I agree with you on the Daniel/Bree thing, but I do think the fans have an effect on the script...which I am not 100% sure there is one..lol...I assume there is some kind of writing, but I don't know how much adlibing there is in the videos....

The way my blog has worked for over two years is, I have a storyline that I pursue, and if people seem to like it, I will stretch it out as much as I can. If they dislike it, I will either discontinue it or take it in another direction. As long as that is what these guys are doing, fine. My only concern is, they made it sound like the people were almost going to be writing the whole thing, or at least playing a major part in the plot development. To me, that is wrong. A good story is unpredictable, and it won't be unpredictable if 3,000 people asked for something and got it.

From what I hear, there are scripts, but certain scenes are ad-libbed. For example, "what did my dad talk to daniel about" is largely ad-libbed, and I think this is one of the strongest ones I've seen yet.

Regarding Bree/Daniel, I say it's unrealistic because Daniel is clearly smitten with her (can't say as I blame him), and things definitely would have come to a head by now. They'd either be dating (if not knocking boots) or just buddies.

Well, remember that they did kiss and go on a date once, but then all this happened and it hard to imagine that they would be knocking boots while living on the streets...though it would have kept them warm.

True, true, he did plant one on her, not on camera of course. All the more reason why he would have been trying to put the moves on her at some point since then, maybe not when they were homeless but at some time when there was relative calm.
