Think about this...Could it have been written by Bree under the split personality of Cassie?

The poem. So, Bree is the virgin and Daniel is the Beast. Her Father drove a sword of hate between Bree and her lover, seperating them.

She is now torn between her religion and her lover. Although, since she has been found out, she is no longer pure.

According to Numbers in the Bible. Unclean women have to go through a purification process.

I just don't think that Bree sees Daniel as a lover..... I think she still sees him as a friend..... :/

been thinking about the first stanza... "if help again will come too late." does this refer to the first dead drop, that help being too late, or (if we are working in the realm of cassie-is-a-previous-vicitim-of-what-bree-will-be-doing, which i have yet to stumble out of) that help did not arrive in time to save her initially?

I've got more questions, just still working it through...

everyone keeps talking about the bible verse referring to mpd, but the passage actually means that people need to work together or they won't succeed... i think the message is that those "helping" cassie have to work together to quickly solve the riddles, in the end "helping" her...

I have to say, I strongly disagree with this Cassie is Bree split personality theory everyone has. While it would be an interesting angle, I don'tt hink it's the direction that they're going in at all.

For example, in literature there's what you call the "unfaithful narrator" who leads readers down one path and at the end reveals a twist, or a turn. In Fight Club this twist is revealed when it becomes apparent that the Narrator is Tyler Durden. Or in the Sixth Sense, when it's revealed that Bruce Willis is in fact dead. In fact, M. Night is a great example to use here since he is known for his many 'twist endings' in his films. When you get to the ending there's a moment of "oh so that's what's going on" and then all of the clues along the path from A to B become apparent. After seeing this scenario in films and reading it in stories over the years, there are certain things that give it away to look for. Granted they are not always present but there must always be some sort of clue, otherwise when the ending is revealed it will not make sense. The audience is instead left in a state of disbelief. Thus far in the Cassie story I've seen very little evidence that really supports the split personality theory. There are a few things, here and there but those can be argued against just as easily. Of course this could be my strong belief that the split personality story is just too 'overdone' these days and I have hopes that Cassie's team, whoever they are, would be more creative than that.
