It takes about one and a half dozen regluar chicken eggs to equal one ostrich egg in terms of volume...
An ostrich egg is so massive that if you could crack it open to fry it up sunnyside up, the yolk would break from it's own mass.

I think he was in his 70s or 80s. They buried him on the grounds of the zoo he lived in. The story was right by the people obituaries in my paper.
