We all know that epogen is sent directly to the blood via injections. Problem is, nobody likes needles - they're messy, painful, and hideous. So the king of pharmaceuticals, who is also a high ranking seven eleven CEO with a fetish for orange slurpees, forms a secret organization (or ORDER) with its sole agenda to create a more acceptable means of drug transference. Using quasi-aincient recipes written by Aleister Crowley, the Order decides to create the worlds first prescription cookie:

But to no avail!
Using some sort of religious agenda as a dodge, they continue their insidious plans to take over the world via subliminal messages through the internet, until Bree ceases to recieve her "medicine." The Order falls back onto plan B: use the parents as guinea pigs (and also test subjects).
With Bree running around, potentially building some sort of plan to foul up the Order's plot, they travel back in time to build the one creature capable of manipulating her:

Bill tempts Bree with images of a canine to activate her latent soviet programming, forcing her to act in a childish and ungrateful manner. To further seal the deal, the Order sends recon-agents to influence fear and make it seem like they are in control. While it is obvious that the Order could take Bree at any moment in time, it is best to put her under the roof of a single individual capable of taking care of her.

Nothing much left recap, however it would seem that, with the effects of the injections and cookies wearing off, Bree and Daniel are now suffering from hallucinations, snoring, walks of shame, allergies to pine nuts, chicken pox, addictions to foosball, and erections lasting longer than six hours.
