A sensible precaution. I might add that I sent a e-mail to the folks at Revver when I started posting videos, telling them to keep their money. They sent back a message saying that they have to keep track of accounts, but as long as you never post them any paypal info, they never try to actually harrass you about paying you. And they never have bugged me about it.
The cash you earn is a pittance. I wouldn't be too concerned about it.

It's true, Lizard. I had 600 views of one video and I made $1.67 on Revver!!!
Still, any time you make money, they have to check copyrights. I couldn't play my DanielBeast fan club video because I had 1 min or music by Right Said Fred.

Oooh, ok. Thanks for the information! I wouldn't worry about it so much except that everyone's so sue-happy these days. Like all those people they were raking across the coals a few years back for illegal music downloads. Big corporations are such bullies. Can't wait to help sue them right back someday.

Oh and Jess.. I don't want to discuss politics and I would never want to guess what anybody believes.. but the older I've become, the more I've noticed that NOBODY fits in nice, neat little political boxes. NOBODY.

Good luck with the lawsuit! LOL
And I was able to sneak a copyrighted tune into one of my vids. And I have also snuck in some photos that were copyrighted as well. If someone wants to try and find me to sue me, I can always show them my e-mail from Revver to prove I never made a dime off of any of it!

That's pretty smart, Apo. I actually told Revver to keep the money, too.. I REALLY wanted the DB vid on the site.. but they still said, "No," to me.. Now, how I managed to get 5 mins of a long Rickie Lee Jones song on.. ?????

I know I certainly don't...I'm a very random person on my political standings...but certain things I do feel very strongly about for very personal reasons and it's best just to avoid the subject completely unless on a one on one basis

Marbella, that's part of why I didn't sweat adding music. Most of the music on my computer is DEFINITELY copyrighted and these people WOULD come after me. If I did upload to Revver, that's where they'd probably nail me.
Jess, wherever I go, I'm always the minority, mostly cause I like the company of people of a type who usually don't seem to subscribe to the same beliefs as I do. I'm a conservative Republican, although I'm pretty open-minded and before I discount something, I'll always investigate it. But most of my friends are very liberal Democrats, and I bite my tongue so hard it bleeds sometimes when I listen to them trash ideas and politicians I support.

Apo, what time is our Defense Force training drill tomorrow night? Or do we not have them on the weekends?
I'm only asking 'cause I'd LOVE for Lizard to be able to come and be a part of it (if she wants to!!)
