That's one of the things that is just freaking me out. If it's true that Daniel left with this local...WHY? Why would he leave with some man he just met?
If it were a girl, yes, we can see how she could charm him into leaving with her. But just to take off with some man he just met? Knowing that the Order has been after them all this time?
So that leaves me with several thoughts:
1. The man is someone Daniel already knew, going back to the "Daniel is bad/he's setting them up" theory.
2. Maybe Daniel had his drink drugged, and the man "escorted" him out of the bowling alley before he completely went down (we know the Order isn't above using drugs on these kids).
3. Maybe the man told Daniel that he had some information that could help them. "Come back to my house and I'll explain everything".
I'm having a problem with the fact that Daniel would just leave with a strange man at this point.
Of course, we could be back to the fact that we basically only have Jonas' word that Daniel left with anyone at all. Maybe Daniel was intercepted before he ever got into the bowling alley.
Or, heck! Maybe the entire town is an Order compound, and THEY ARE ALL IN ON IT TOGETHER!!

This is an interesting theory.
The whole "Oh, you're staying with that boy? Don't you know that story behind his parent's death? Come back to my house and I'll show you the newspaper clippings (that I conveniently saved) about the investigation into their "disappearance". They never could prove anything, but some people think that they are buried right there on the property!"
OK, that doesn't really have anything to do with the actual ongoing plot, but it would make things pretty darn interesting!

For some reason...I flashed to this old 80's movie...I can't remember the name. But, the babysitter would kill the family and in the beginning, as she's leaving one family and preparing to start with a new one, it shows the kids in their beds covered in plastic. Now I'm having scary visuals of what's in Jonas' parent's room, lol.

If Daniel was following this stranger to get info about Jonas, it's kinda sucky that he left Bree there though. I mean, I guess he wouldn't really know if he should trust the stranger, but still.
I do agree that this stranger is somehow tied into Jonas telling us he used to hang out there...Maybe Jonas does know something he isn't saying, or the stranger does.

We already know Dannyboy spills his guts when drunk, maybe he's stupidly trusting in other ways, too. Also, did Daniel drive there or did Jonas drop him off? If he drove...where is the vehicle? We never heard about the vehicle Bree stole, either.
I definitely think our little Jonas knows something about this "regular"...

I said this before up there. He wasn't that far ahead of them, he could easily fall back behind them again, it doesn't look like there are many exits on that stretch. He could of pulled ahead so that Jonas and Bree don't notice this white van behind them the whole time. If it bounces back and forth ahead and behind them, it could just be a random person headed in the same direction type thing. |
Looking way too closely at the videos, I'm pretty sure they are different vans. The one in the parking lot is a brand new model, like a rental, with those taillights up high. The one on the road is an old model (like 10 years old) with low taillights and signage.
BUT I still believe that the guy in the white van was watching them and could very well have followed them. I favor the theory that it's Brother. |

I'm glad you said that, cause I don't think they are the same van either. I am more apt to believe that the van in the parking lot was the one we were supposed to notice.

Hmm. The way I interpreted the video is that Bree and Jonas went together into the bowling alley the first time, and the bartender told them both that Daniel was drinking with and left with the local dude. So it can't be Jonas, because he was asking the question. (The bartender would've said, "he left with you - don't you remember?") Jonas and Bree went back out to the car, planning to go home, but then decided they'd better check LocalGuy's house, so Jonas went back in to get the address.
So Jonas is not the local guy, IMHO.
What's got me thinking is the TIMING of the text to Bree. It arrived just as Jonas was asking about LocalGuy's address. I think the message meant that going to LocalGuy's house was a dead end or worse, and it was texted by the guy by the white van. Dun dun dun!

i didnt remember it from CiW but, when i watched the vid this morning (for the first time), that's one of the thing i noticed more, i dont know why but, it has to mean something!
