Because they were unable to edit out the black that may have happened by accident while taping.

They could have, but being on the run, they probably didn't even know they did it or they would have taped something else over it.

*shrug* idk..i mean would they really just add that to make the show seem more real or what..I mean they coud have edited it out (out of character) like..You know what I mean?

I don't get it. So they went looking for Daniel, stopped back at home ( to get clothes), stopped at an internet cafe or something yesterday to upload the video, all while looking for some "local" guys address? I can suspend belief with the best of them, but this one is challenging for me, if they thought they were on their way to get Daniel somwhere nearby, they wouldn't make these stops would they?
I'm definitely feeling like they aren't telling us something. Or maybe I'm just hoping that they are hiding something....but I can't figure out what they would be hiding. Maybe they found some other clue at the bowling alley, that leads them to believe they have to be careful? Or maybe they did get intercepted by the man in the white van, it was brother, and then they were actually following him and are following brother/tachyon's instructions?
Or am I stretching it again?

I hate to burst anyone's bubbles because I know this is exciting, but I seriously doubt that the Jackson Davis who has booked a room at the hotel is the same one as the actor who plays Jonas. First of all, even though Lad found Daniel's ID at the Ukiah bowling alley, we've already established that the bowling alley shot in "Looking for Daniel" was filmed at Corbin Bowl, which is a good 7 hours away from Yokayo Bowl and Ukiah.
The ARG is located in Northern Cali, while LG15 is filmed in LA/Southern Cali. The likelihood that THE Jackson Davis is the same one booked at the hotel is slim to none.
That being said, if you still want to go Iris, well, that's up to you. I thought you established, though, that they were all booked up, so doesn't that mean you're going to have to come back after you've snooped around? I mean, you can't get a room. Seems like a lot of trouble to go through for something we're not entirely sure of.

I still theorize that, if they're going up to the mountains near Ukiah, they're heading towards Clearlake.

i really don't think they stopped at home to get clothes. true, she is wearing different things in the videos, but it's just layering. it is winter after all! in the first video she's wearing a greyish-green sweater, which was probably OVER the pink long sleeved shirt she's wearing OVER the white tank top she goes to bed in.
and i do think that thinking they got intercepted by the white van guy and are now conspiring with him and not telling us IS stretching it.
but that's just me.
