Not necessarily. He may know the general area around his house and the bowling alley, but he might not be all that familiar with the area up in the mountains. And, if they are presumably going up to the Clearlake area like I suspect they are, it takes a while to get up there, (I know from experience).
Plus, I believe they got a late start, and it started raining and got dark, which probably drove them to get off the road. |
True. It didn't sound like he did a whole lot of traveling in his area, so he wouldn't have a good idea of how far away it could be. I guess I'm used to knowing how long it takes to get to the mountains from where I live (southern cal) and figured he'd know too. :p |

I was just speculating as to why he wouldn't be interested in sleeping with Bree. I don't think it's because he's gay, or with the Order. So I suggested another plausible reason. Trust me, I've dated some naughty Catholic school boys as well.

I don't think he is either... he seems really concerned about Daniel and Bree. Now, Gemma, she seemed like she cared, but I didn't really feel right about her videos. I got more of the feeling she was acting, and I'm not sure if that was a fault of the actress playing her part, or if the creators wanted to make it feel like she wasn't being completely truthful in her videos. Jonas seems much more open and vulnerable. |

I have to say....I'm a bit creeped out that some want to track down the actors and "catch" them real time. To me, that's interupting the production.
Yes, I've gone to a couple of the filming locations after the fact...but it was always after the fact, and for nothing other than fun in verifying production locations within the scope of the story. I've never had any desire to actually find the actors or production people, that would just...I dunno....seem totally wrong and stalkerish. Even if The Creators themselves invited me to a set to photograph....it would feel weird.
I mean, really...shouldn't there be a line that we just don't cross? Like ever? |

The supposed door banging or weird knocking near the end of the video is just Jonas tapping his fingers on the side of the tub and dropping his hand to make a point.
Watch it again and put those labels to noises in your mind and it will work
The only exception to this is at 1:53, which is a door closing or opening in the background (aka the corridor outside their room). Hotels, motels or even hotel motels always make that weird noise when the bottom of the door goes over the special plastic at the bottom to keep the draught out
It's either that or a footstep
edited: to fix all my spelling errors from typing too fast. then again because i typed too fast trying to fix them ^^; AND AGAIN BECAUSE I AM SERIOUSLY RETARDED AND CAN'T SPELL ALREADY!?

I know that places can be further away than they seem, but two things stand out to me here. One, there is no plausible way that Jonas, as a rich adolescent with no parents, did not travel out and about. Believe me, I grew up in the middle of nowhere, and I was out of there as often as possible. I knew exactly how long it would take me to get wherever I needed to go. Yes, he could have gotten lost, but why would he say it was further away instead of "I can't find it?"
Secondly, that area is just not that big. If you want to do anything, you have to go somewhere else to do it. It seems like you would know a lot more about your surrounding area if you lived there.
edit to add: I am also pretty sure that the Creators are aware of the area. I think that I read that Mesh (maybe?!?) spent some time in a commune in Sonoma County, so he would know this....though that doesn't mean that they would assume we would know it, I suppose.

this is rather exhausting to be truthful, my brain is on breeoverload for sure.
Last night I dreamt about this, not a nightmare like some of you, but a dream nonetheless.
I am sure I will dream about it tonight.
So how long has iris been gone? I hope that if they are there they are not mean to him and shoo him away. But I really doubt they are there. They might have BEEN there, but probably long gone by now. Never know though Iguess.
