I kind of look at it like this:

I don't watch a lot of TV. I don't participate in any other online crap, except my myspace, which I barely have time to keep up with. I have a house, a hubby, three kids (one with special needs).

LG15 is my little release, my private spot where reality doesn't touch.

Am I happy that I feel like I have to go back and basically start over midway? No. Am I going to do it?

**sigh**

You know I am. I'm not ready to give up my lg guilty pleasure.

But I'll be holding a grudge! And don't you forget it!

This is literally the same thing. You don't have to go nd play catc up, you don't have to go and play the game. You just watch whatever they post...thats it. The same with any other character.

So why is this different then Gemma or Jonas??

Thats exactly what I was thinking Kelly.

Sure at first we were told we didn't NEED to follow OpAphid, but as the story grew, OpAphid did too--and their role became more important.

Now we should follow OpAphid. Just the videos. Just to keep informed of the storyline. Just like any additional character.

Suppose for some reason, LG15 adopted one of those cassie fanfics as Canon. Would people be mad to have to go back and watch those videos? Not really. It'd be interesting...even if we had a sense of missing something.

I think if people were upset and wanted to leave, they would already be gone.

but no one really cares about op being part of the story, about 90% like it, but it is that the creators said we didnt have to watch it to understand the story, but now we do which has annoyed some people

The difference is, Gemma and Jonas were quickly confirmed as cannon, and if you hadn't been watching, it took next to nothing to catch up with what they had been up to.

The "Oppyverse" has been going on for quite some time, with many, many videos that are going to take a while to get through.

And no one posted that Jonas and Gemma's videos would add to the story, but if you didn't watch them, no big, you'd still be fine.

We weren't supposed to need to watch the Oppy/Tach/Brother videos, but now they are major players in the main story.

It's just, IMHO, a pain in the butt to have to go back and catch up now, which I feel I need to do to understand the whole thing.

the catch up thread will catch you all up in 5 minutes. you dont have to watch the videos you dont have to solve the puzzles. It is ALL IN FRONT OF YOUUUU. on a silver platter. Very Happy

or read the aphidpedia. all the vid details are there too.

I've read the catch up thread, I have no interest in solving the puzzles, and I still feel the need to watch the videos.

I truly appreciate everyone's work on making the catch up thread, and I'm not trying to take anything away from that. I'm sure for some (or most, lol) people that would be plenty.

I'm just one of those people who have to see for my self.

No one has to watch the opaphid stuff if they don't want to!

I watch it and have done from the beginning cos I love it. But if you don't then don't bother!

The creators told us that we wouldnt need to watch any opaphid vids unless they were put with the main videos, so its not required unless they but it with brees vids
