Maybe it's the hotel Bree and Jonas were staying at?
I just think it's more than a coincidence that the street was La Brea. I mean, is it pronounced just like Bree?

That's true...the elevator looked pretty glamorless. Ill try looking for notable LA office buildings, but I don't know what I'll get.
Could be an office building too??? |

ok, I just noticed something else.
Maybe someone with more computer knowledge can blow it up and see if Daniel has something in his right hand going up the back stairwell or not.
I looked through a few times and he seems to look down in his hand just before going up the ladder.
Remember, Daniels hands were tied up until he was just outside the elevator. If he had something in his hand it would be interesting to me.  |

Someone was asking about the highway shots. I don't think it matters much, in terms of the story, but the shot of the trees with the water tank are immediately before a rest stop in I-5, between State Route 46 and HWY 58. I drive past that area quite frequently. It's just northwest of Bakersfield, CA. So, that would add credence to Jonas' location being north of the Bay Area...I-5 is the quickest route to LA.
The location of the plane landing is definitely LAX. The plane is landing on runway two north. The shot is taken from Lincoln Blvd...just west of the In-and-Out Burger on the corner of Lincoln and Sepulveda. |

Oh, as an additional, I remember someone saying something about how there's no Mylasian flights to LA, but how about Nevada? Those oil feilds after the plane landing looked like they were in a Nevada setting to me.
And La Brea is pronounced 'Bray-ah,' like the La Brea tar pits that it's named after. The hotel is also on La Brea avenue, which would explain why they showed the sign. (Besides the awesome similarity to Bree)
EDIT: I just read the post above mine, and you're right. It's not Nevada.

Wow! Interesting? And all the oil wells that were passed in the film leading up the the trade. Might just be to emphasize that it was a trap they were going into, or so we thought!  |

I didn't think it was at first either but then I looked at a still vs. a picture of Miles on his lgpedia entry and hairline is making me think it is.

The CIA World Factbook on Fiji mentions 28 major airports there.
However, Malaysia Air doesn't appear to have a non-stop flight to LAX from there.
It doesn't matter. Tachyon probably just took a connecting flight from another airline. IMHO, it's not a plot hole.
I love this video more and more! I have watched it four times now!

No, different hotel. The Gemma IV hotel was the LAX Hilton on Century Blvd...right next to LAX.
