I was late in catching on to the whole "Tach" chapter, and I watched all her videos this morning. In the first one that shows a good shot of her eyes, the first thing I thought was, "that looks like Daniel's drinking buddy!" |
I think the biggest concern most people had with Katharine McPhee being Tachyon is that McPhee was, most likely, going to do just that one episode. (At least, no mention of more than one was made in the press release about it.) And everyone hopes Tachy is going to show up as an actual character. Plus, the Tachyon videos were made before McPhee was brought up as an actress, so it seems less likely that she was used in the Tachy videos. (Then again, they could have used McPhee as tachy because she looks similar.)
It definitely is possible, though! I for one root for Tachy being a character who will show up more often, and I doubt McPhee will be used that way.

O.K...she's not the same chic as in the Tach vids...because the girl that came is that McPhee chick from American Idol...and so she hasn't been doing ths. It was announced that she was making a guest appearance and we got it. Now, if she was supposed ot possibly be Tach...perhaps...just clarifying that she's not the chick in Tach vids.

thats an interesting theory, but personally, i would be a little dissapointed if they used someone as well known as McPhee to play the character of Tachyon

Useless Insertion:
If it leads to tachyon having a bigger role on camera and in the series, I am all for it. I am so sick of Bree the Useless and Doe-eyed being the only female in this series. Tacheyon's overdue for some kick-ass screen time.
McPhee is just a dime-a-dozen-fifteen-minutes-of-fame reality show personality. She won't be famous for more then five minutes after the show's over. She might as well do something useful. |

Still, it seems like quite a coincedence that Tach hangs out in a bowling alley.

| There was an article about it (jeez I wish I could find that), she was only on for one episode to help sell her CD (one of her songs is in the episode) and because she loves the show. She wouldn't mind coming back, but there are no future plans for her. |

If Kat is Tach, she did a pretty lousy job protecting Daniel. Tach just isn't that sloppy.

Darn, and I thought I was brilliant today when I thought that randomgirl was Tach... I completely believe she is..... and after todays video - she did a better job that we could have expected... Nice bowling touch!
Wasn't it OpA that had watched Tach at the Bowling Ally.... Did he have a picture of her??? I can't Remember exactly. I just remember a oh, she is cute moment... |

It just doesn't work, Tachyon was in Fiji when that ep happened (yes i know brother is incompetent but he seemed pretty down because of her absence, i doubt that he'd have zoned on something that important) and some random ditzy looking girl being tachyon? No, it just won't work for me.
Tachyon is badass and enigmatic, randomgirl was lackluster and boring.

Still, it's really random that she actually went home with him and hung out all night--things don't seem to happen for no reason in the Breeniverse like that. But who knows, the creators could have appreciated McPhee's enthusiasm for LG15 so much that they actually let her be the one pointless thing that'll never tie back to anything later or have any real significance.
I do think you're all taking for granted that Tachyon actually was in Fiji though. |
