Yeah, it matches up too perfectly to not be it - or to at least be an extremely well constructed fake. Not sure yet positively, but it seems to hit. The only reason the right columns don't line up, as you said, is he posted two new short posts, and her picture showed just the first post. (probably the most significant one)

There are two many coincidences for it not to be part of this whole thing. His location is Azuza, CA, where the park is (Cassie posted a LINK to the park).
He's missing a bible page.
The anagram for I WAS HERE at the bottom.
It all makes sense. |

Edit: I guess i don't know the area, so the swimming hole, could be exactly where he is. Though, again, the rifle part is shady.

Perhaps the drop site is where the bag was found, just on top of that big rock wall (where the bag was dropped from).
