hi- i am a lurker who has been watching for a few weeks, helping when i can. to that end, i have logged into freenode.net and created a channel for brainstorming purposes. my machine is always on, so i will leave the channel open. you are free to use as necessary.

My Manifesto/Objective: I have little to offer in anagram skills, but plenty of time, so my machine will remain up, and therefore the channel, throughout the remainder of the not-a-game. I offer this to the community in the spirit of problem-solving and to provide a place for sidetalk, brainstorming, and enhancing your enjoyment of this experience. I am moderator, but will relinquish that control should the community request it. This channel will belong to the extended LG15/cassieiswatching community, and anyone who is interested is welcome to join:

download an IRC client ('x-chat' is nice) and log on to the 'freenode' network.
once you are full logged in just type

'/join #cassieiswatching'

you can also use a multi-protocol client, like trillian ( thanks sungkoo) or gaim (my fave). the set-up is pretty much the same

there are just a few of us so far, but with more we will have this solved in no time...and no time is what we have! 10 day, 10 days!

if the unfiction channelis preferable, let me know and i will close my channel and send folks there ( what server are they on?)

ok ... I see two IRC channels listed in this thread.

Can we just pick ONE place and make it official? No need for the IRC to be spread out on different servers.

If you use Opera browser, it's very easy. Use the Opera built in chat client...PLUS, With Opera browser, you can save the whole conversation with file-->save-as, just like any file or page.

Do you guys know of a way I can access the channel from the internet? Like, a java chat or something? I can't download anything on my computer at work
