I'll get working on revamping 2 and 4 too! |
What is the problem wined is a word (to drink wine like from a cup on the next line) You know - the killer wined and dined |
It works as an anagram, imho I just don't think it fits our poem, the context and tone of "wine" is all off _________________ "This is Woobagooba with the green teeth,

Yeah but how is that a clue? A garden where a killer had some wine? It's pretty much as meaningless as the lion. |
Garden of Good and Evil? Maybe it's metaphorical. _________________ "Everyone recognizes beauty, only because of ugliness.

like someone said, maybe it's at a zoo and you have to cross the lion pen to some kind of garden, where there will be some kind of cup thing where she/he hid the clue. _________________ what will grow crooked you can't make straight |

The zoo in LA charges for entry, I can't imagine she'd plant it somewhere we had to pay to get to. Also if it's in a zoo it'll be really public and likely to be tampered with. Planting in a zoo doesn't make sense. |

No Lauren, it's literal
Inside the gate you will defend
Them yet oppose deny olde friend
This act up here not yet commenced
Is to a cross deep in soil fenced
The garden where the killer wined
Still holds the cup for you to find.
might not be quite right, but the holy grail is in the garden of Gethsemane, apparently. Time to dig around the net for the chalice pic. _________________ Judge a moth by the beauty of its candle. |

It makes no sense to interpret the poem till we finish it. _________________ ..-. .-. . . / -... . . .-. Glug Glug |

Agreed, we should only do such interpretation as might help illuminate whether or not the anagram is correct (ie if it can't make any sense that should be taken into account). |

You're right, ToadLguy,
and Judas wined in the garden the night of the betrayal, and Peter denied his old friend Christ, and the "cross" reference (pun alert) is there. _________________ Judge a moth by the beauty of its candle. |

CEDE IF NIL NOS A CEDE RIPOSTS SO.
I reworked some of this and I pulled out words like "crop(s)" and "seed(s)."
Perhaps something along the lines of that? It would work with the garden part, as well as soil and fenced.. Maybe someone else can take a look. I'm no good at poetry. _________________ "Everyone recognizes beauty, only because of ugliness.

Yikes, I was scared to place my last few entrances into the running after being admonished because "IT" wasn't the first word of the 4th line. Glad to see some are willing to accept a different approach |

I'd love to be wrong, one more correct line puts one step closer to the finish line _________________ "This is Woobagooba with the green teeth,

I'd love to be able to just post my guesses without someone telling me I am dead wrong before anybody knows anything. |

YES I'm sure it's a clue:
"the garden where the killer wined
still holds the cup for you to find."
In some garden where "the killer" drank something, there's a cup waiting to be found by us. The drop is a cup in a garden (park? whatever). Anyone agree? |
